How to Get the Hot Air Balloon Mount in Crimson Desert (Cloudcart)

In Crimson Desert, the Cloudcart is a unique vehicle you can obtain relatively early in the game. You can earn one by completing a short quest for House Grace in Hernand, or you can build your own if you find the crafting blueprint. This blueprint is hidden within Glenbright Manor. Once you have it, you’ll need to send Greymane allies to Emberwind Workshop to construct the Cloudcart. After building it, you’ll be able to summon and use your hot air balloon whenever and wherever you like in Crimson Desert.

Crimson Desert Cloudcart Blueprint Location

We suggest completing the “Dwarf’s Concern” questline for House Grace before continuing, as this can prevent issues down the line. If you haven’t started House Grace’s quests yet, finish Hernand’s quests first.

You can find the Cloudcart blueprint hidden within Glenbright Manor, which is south of Hernand. Be aware that the guards at the manor will still attack you even after completing the Reed Devil quest, so you’ll need to either defeat them or sneak past them. Once inside, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the first floor and push past the secret door next to the staircase. Look for the painting with horses on it. Grab the Glenbright Manor Basement Key from there.
  2. Go up the stairs, then grab the Ruby-Set Golden Dagger that’s on display.
  3. Head down the hallway, and look for the cabinet next to a bookshelf near the statue. Open it to reveal a wheel. Turn the wheel to rotate the nearby chandelier until its light focuses on the crystal on the statue.
  4. After aligning the light to the statue, the wooden panel to your left will slide down, revealing the Sapphire-Set Golden Dagger.
  5. Go to the count’s office, then insert both daggers into the slots in the fireplace. This will reveal a hidden entrance that leads to the manor’s basement.
  6. Grab the Cloudcart Blueprint on the floor.

If you’re working on a quest for the Grace family, remember to talk to Cedric Grace – you’ll find him in the basement.

How to Craft the Cloudcart in Crimson Desert

You’ll need to rescue at least five Greymane soldiers before continuing, and one of them must be an Engineer. Keep accepting rumor missions from Marius to find more Greymanes, and don’t forget to upgrade your camp to attract even more to your cause.

After building a Cloudcart, send at least five of your Greymane allies to Emberwind Workshop, located north of Glenbright Manor. Open your map and select Emberwind Workshop, then go to the Missions tab and choose the Cloudcart mission. Assign your companions and click ‘Dispatch’. After waiting eight in-game hours, your Cloudcart will be ready! You can summon it by pressing and holding F1 (or D-Pad Up).

I recently found out that if you head over to the Scholastone Institute and help out one of the researchers with a quest, you can start upgrading your Cloudcart! It’s a pretty cool way to get some extra benefits, and I’m excited to check it out.

Currently, attempting to summon using Cloudcart won’t work. The developers are aware of this issue and are working on a fix.
