I always thought a vampire hunting game sounded awesome, but Boktai: The Sun Is in Your Hand takes it to another level! When you fight one of the big vampires, you don’t just stake ’em – you have to actually force them back into their coffin, then physically drag that coffin all the way out of the dungeon and into the sunlight to finish them off. I love vampire movies like Sinners, Blade, and From Dusk Till Dawn, but none of those have a detail as cool as that! It really shows that even on the Game Boy Advance, Boktai still delivers something special.

Elden Ring

So Good It’s Becoming A Movie

Elden Ring doesn’t tell a story through complex lore that players need to uncover. Instead, you begin as a Tarnished, a being adrift in an ancient world, with only a distant, glowing tree as your goal. Along the way, you’ll battle challenging bosses and enemies – from other Tarnished lords to powerful dragons. You’ll also meet intriguing characters like Iron Fist Alexander and Ranni, each with their own hidden motives and mysterious pasts.

The game doesn’t hold your hand; instead of being told what’s happening, players must uncover the story through clues found in ancient texts, the environment, and hints from characters. This encouraged fans to collaborate and build a strong community while trying to understand the game’s lore – a truly remarkable achievement. The fact that Elden Ring is the only one of these games getting a movie speaks volumes about its immersive world-building, which is even more unique and mysterious than Metaphor: ReFantazio.
