As a seasoned adventurer of Luma Island, I’ve seen my fair share of challenges and triumphs. One such challenge that stands out is the elusive quest for Honey – a crucial ingredient in attaining Master status in one’s chosen profession.
On my gaming journey through the captivating world of Luma Island, I’ve found that as I advance in my chosen profession, gathering various types of materials becomes crucial to crafting the recipes on my quest list. As I delve deeper into my profession, the ingredients needed for these recipes grow increasingly rare. One such elusive resource I find myself chasing is Honey.
Obtaining honey is crucial in the final stage towards achieving Master status in your chosen profession, yet it isn’t something readily available at the local store or easily attainable without a bit of exertion. Here’s a guide on how to acquire Honey in Luma Island.
How to Get Honey
To start collecting Honey from Luma Island, first, construct a Beehive and position it on your farm. You can obtain a plan for this structure at the Drawing Shop in town, but it requires 2,500 gold coins. Here’s what you need to gather materials for building:
- 10 Mountain Sap
- 10 Mountain Planks
- 10 Mountain Flowers
- 1 Queen Bee
To progress with your Honey generation, it is essential to traverse the Mountain biome first and gather as many materials for a Beehive as possible. You’ll find Mountain Sap by cutting trees and sap branches in this region, while flowers are scattered on the ground throughout the area. They are white, so remember to stay vigilant when approaching snowy parts of the Mountain, as they might be tricky to identify. Additionally, Planks can be crafted using Mountain Wood at your Saw Mill.
Instead of actively searching for a Queen Bee, you’ll encounter them spontaneously in both the Farm and Forest. They are distinct creatures that you should try to capture with your net. The process is somewhat reminiscent of catching aquatic creatures, but these bees will be found wandering across the land and among the trees. Therefore, it’s essential to remain vigilant during your explorations and seize the opportunity to catch them when they appear.
After constructing your Beehive, position it on your farm next to crops that require pollination. The bees within will then begin producing honey. Approximately daily, you should inspect your Beehive and discover honey deposited in the vicinity.
If you opt for the Brewer or Cook career path, you’ll understand that Bees play a crucial role in cultivating specific crops such as Pumpkins and Cocoa Beans. Just like how Sprinklers have an area they irrigate, when you position your Beehive, it will be marked by a large blue square. This area signifies the plants that your Bees will pollinate, so ensure that your Pumpkin and Cocoa seeds are planted within this square for the Bees to effectively do their job.
If you haven’t chosen Brewer or Cook as your profession, you’ll need to advance those professions to access these specific crops. The recipes using bee-pollinated crops are only available during the third phase of the questline. However, if you’ve made decent progress in another profession, it shouldn’t take long before you can purchase Pumpkin and Cocoa seeds on Luma Island.
