One Piece: 9 Strongest Duos In The Final Saga

Throughout the long-running story of One Piece, Eiichiro Oda has created many memorable partnerships. Though the series is known for its individual battles, the plot frequently calls for strong duos to confront significant challenges and leave a lasting impact. From the powerful commanders of the Yonko to dedicated Marines and even members of the Celestial Dragons, One Piece showcases numerous formidable pairs, particularly in the current Final Saga where the most crucial conflicts are taking place.

Sommers and Killingham

  • Affiliation: Holy Knights

Sommers and Killingham initially arrived in the Elbaph Arc. When Shamrock was needed back in the Holy Land to address emerging dangers, Sommers and Killingham were reassigned to Elbaph in his place.

Killingham and Somers are a devastatingly effective pair. Killingham can make his enemies’ worst dreams and nightmares come true, inflicting terrible torment. Somers, with his ability to control thorns, adds to this cruelty. Together, they wreaked havoc on Elbaph, and if not for Loki and the Straw Hat Pirates, they likely would have conquered the entire nation.

Kid and Killer

  • Affiliation: Kid Pirates

Killer and Kid are a pirate pair in One Piece, similar to Luffy and Zoro. They’ve faced many challenges together, successfully reaching the New World and obtaining Road Poneglyphs. During the Wano Country Arc, they even fought a Yonko, but were quickly and decisively defeated by Shanks shortly after.

However, Kid and Killer aren’t finished with the story yet. They’ll definitely be important again later on, and their return is all but guaranteed.

Dorry and Brogy

  • Affiliation: Giant Pirates

Dorry and Brogy are a famous pair who first appeared in the Little Garden arc. Since then, they’ve journeyed all the way back to their homeland of Elbaph, where they are currently defending against the World Government. These two have shared countless adventures, and despite being equally powerful, they’ve also fought each other thousands of times.

They’re currently defending Elbaph from invaders and have been quite successful. Their competitive dynamic is similar to the one between Zoro and Sanji, and they’re clearly going to be important characters as the story progresses.

Zoro and Sanji

  • Affiliation: Straw Hat Pirates

Zoro and Sanji make a truly captivating pair in the world of One Piece. While they aren’t the most powerful duo currently – they’re still rising in strength as commanders under one of the Four Emperors – their chemistry and how they interact with each other is unmatched.

Throughout the series, Zoro and Sanji have consistently saved Luffy’s life – from battles at places like Arlong Park, Arabasta, and Thriller Bark, all the way to the recent events in Wano. They act as Luffy’s steadfast protectors, always ready to defend the crew, and they continued to do so during the dangerous events of the Elbaph arc as the World Government became an even greater threat.

Luffy and Zoro

  • Affiliation: Straw Hat Pirates

Luffy and Zoro are one of the longest-running and most dynamic pairs in One Piece. They first teamed up in Shell’s Town and have fought side-by-side in numerous thrilling battles, including intense confrontations against Kaido during the Wano Arc.

In the Egghead arc, Luffy and Zoro battled the Seraphim. It’s clear Oda intends to further develop them as a formidable pair, establishing them as a key duo in the final part of the story.

Shamrock and Gunko

  • Affiliation: Holy Knights

Shamrock and Gunko teamed up during the Elbaph arc of One Piece, quickly establishing themselves as an incredibly strong pair. They initially encountered some Giants at Warland’s Aurust Castle and defeated them with ease.

The pair managed to corner Prince Loki and almost defeat him, though he was already weakened. While we haven’t seen the full extent of their combined power, it’s clear they’re a dangerous force in battle. As the story unfolds, we can expect to learn more about them and witness their abilities more fully.

Ryokugyu and Fujitora

  • Affiliation: Marines

Ryokugyu and Fujitora both became Admirals during the two-year timeskip, thanks to the World Military Draft. They’re known as incredibly powerful fighters, and we saw a hint of that strength during the Reverie. This event marked the first time they fought as a team, responding to an attack by the Revolutionary Army on the Holy Land, which created significant disruption.

During the battle, Fujitora fought Karasu, and Ryokugyu battled Morley, both performing admirably. However, the Admirals couldn’t demonstrate their full capabilities in the Holy Land because they were significantly limited. Despite not being able to fight at their peak, it’s clear the Admirals are incredibly strong and can cooperate effectively, even when they disagree.

Rayleigh and Gaban

  • Affiliation: Roger Pirates

Rayleigh and Gaban are a legendary pair in the world of One Piece, famous for being among the crew that reached the ultimate destination, Laugh Tale, alongside Roger. Their power is immense – likely on par with, or even surpassing, the strongest pirates known as the Yonko.

Among the great warriors of the past, Rayleigh and Gaban are two who remain, possessing incredible power. Both have mastered all three types of Haki, and are exceptionally skilled in Advanced Conqueror’s Haki. Their true strength will likely be revealed when the Final War begins.

Luffy and Loki

  • Affiliation: Elbaph

I’m so excited about the new pairing of Luffy and Loki! It just formed over in Elbaph, and Oda’s been giving us a lot of hints about what’s going on with them. They actually fought together during the battle against the Holy Knights, taking on the incredibly strong Gunko – which, as you know, is controlled by Saint Nerona Imu. It’s a really interesting team-up!

They were unbelievably powerful, defeating Gunko almost instantly. Now that Saint Imu Nerona has arrived in Elbaph, it’s obvious they have much more fighting ahead, and it will be thrilling to watch them team up and battle together.
