This year, Pokemon fans have both Night Out and Day Out events to look forward to, designed for different ages. With the Pokemon franchise now spanning three decades, its fanbase is incredibly diverse – some have been fans since the very beginning with the original Game Boy games, while others are newer to the series. The Pokemon Company frequently tries to create experiences that appeal to all of its fans.
Can you believe it’s been 30 years since the original Pokemon Red and Green games came out? And 2026 has already been amazing for Pokemon fans like me! We finally got FireRed and LeafGreen on the Nintendo Switch in February, which was such a blast from the past. It’s awesome to revisit those classic games, and even better that new players can experience them for the first time!
Pokemon’s Night Out and Day Out Events
The Pokémon Company is hosting special events called Pokémon Night Out in Los Angeles on October 24th and London on November 10th. These events will include live DJ sets by Alison Wonderland and Marshmello, with Pokémon-themed visuals accompanying the music. Tickets become available on April 17th, and fans can also look forward to exclusive new merchandise, likely featuring artwork from the event’s promotional materials.
Marshmello recently shared a video on Twitter discussing Pokémon’s Night Out events, which are part of the celebration for the franchise’s 30th anniversary. The DJ, who grew up playing Pokémon, promised fans a unique and carefully planned musical performance. He explained that a lot of effort went into creating music that complements the planned visual effects. Marshmello is familiar with performing for video game fans, having previously held a concert in Fortnite in 2019.
While electronic dance music paired with Pokémon imagery might not be ideal for all families, Pokémon Day Out events aim to provide a more family-friendly experience. These events are planned for New York City, Dresden, Bordeaux, and Mexico City this summer, though specific dates and details are still scarce. With the recent release of Pokémon Champions on Nintendo Switch, it’s likely these events will feature the new game, possibly alongside Pokopia, but this is just an educated guess until more information is released.
