On Tuesday, April 21st, the PlayStation Plus Extra library will get a boost with several new games, including Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, The Crew Motorfest, and Football Manager 26. It’s notable that Horizon Zero Dawn is now available through PS Plus, especially with the recent addition of another big PlayStation exclusive, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. It’s unclear whether PlayStation will continue adding these major first-party titles to the service, or if these additions are just a coincidence.
PlayStation Plus subscribers on the Extra or Premium tiers will have access to a new selection of games, with Premium also offering classic titles and extra benefits. The Essential tier is required for online play (except for free-to-play games) and includes a few bonus games each month. For April 2026, the free PS Plus games are Lords of the Fallen (PS5), Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream (PS5), and Tomb Raider I-III Remastered (PS5/PS4).

This month’s PS Plus Extra lineup includes seven new games: Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, The Crew Motorfest, Football Manager 26, Warriors: Abyss, Squirrel with a Gun, The Casting of Frank Stone, and Monster Train. PS Plus Premium subscribers will also gain access to the classic title Wild Arms 4.
This month’s featured games include a popular blockbuster and two more specialized titles. Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered has been visually upgraded to match Horizon Forbidden West, with improvements to everything from lighting and textures to animations, sound, and accessibility options. The story of Aloy is already well-known and loved. Alongside that, The Crew Motorfest offers open-world arcade racing on a Hawaiian-inspired island, and Football Manager 26 lets you take complete control of a soccer club, managing every detail.
Here’s a quick look at the other games: Warriors: Abyss is a fast-paced action game where you fight endless waves of enemies in randomly generated dungeons. Squirrel with a Gun is exactly what it sounds like – a wild and chaotic sandbox experience. The Casting of Frank Stone is a horror adventure set in the world of Dead by Daylight. Monster Train challenges you to build a deck and defend a train from attackers. And for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, Wild Arms 4 is a story focused on themes of identity and war.

Even if this month’s games aren’t a hit, PlayStation Plus offers more than just one free game each month. In addition to Time Crisis being available on PS Plus Premium in May, the free games for next month will be announced on April 29th. We’ll also see new games added to the PS Plus Extra library next month, and subscribers can often enjoy extra free perks too.
