Bleakmill has announced that INDUSTRIA 2, the sequel to their story-driven shooter game, will be released later this month. The team of eight developers is currently finalizing the game.
Bleakmill initially announced their game would be released today, April 7th, exciting fans, but they’ve since had to delay the launch until April 29th.
Narrative FPS INDUSTRIA 2 Delayed
INDUSTRIA, first launched in 2021, is set in East Berlin during the Cold War. The game centers around a mysterious disappearance at a research facility where AI experiments have gone wrong.
Okay, so the government is seriously trying to hide something and wipe everything clean, but I’m playing as Nora, and I’m not giving up on finding my friend. It’s a wild ride – I’m battling these creepy human-like robots and slowly figuring out what’s going on with this whole other universe thing. It’s a tough fight, but I’m determined to get to the bottom of it.
In INDUSTRIA 2, Nora is facing the repercussions of her role in developing the AI, finding herself stranded in another dimension and desperately trying to find a way out.
Bleakmill says their new game, INDUSTRIA 2, is significantly larger than the first, featuring 24 maps compared to the original’s six.
The update includes support for ultrawide monitors, improvements to the user experience and key bindings, a fix for DLSS setup, and a new weapon upgrade system called the ATLAS vault.
As a fan, I’m so impressed with how much they’re trying to pack into this game! It’s amazing, but also sounds really tough. The team is small – just eight people – and they’ve admitted finishing a full, detailed single-player campaign for a first-person shooter is a huge challenge. They’re definitely taking on more than you’d expect from a team their size, and I really admire their dedication!
Testers playing INDUSTRIA 2 have compared it to games like Half-Life, Bioshock, and Resident Evil, which is very encouraging for the developers. They’re not only working to finish the game quickly, but also facing the challenges of being a small, globally distributed team. It’s a constant struggle to balance their passion for the project with the need to pay everyone fairly and avoid burnout. As the developers explain, it’s a common issue for creative teams to manage both artistic vision and financial realities.
