If you want to master Kuku crafting at Grimnir’s Kuku Shop in Crimson Desert, you’ll need a reliable source of basic crafting packs like the Peddler’s Pack or Hunter’s Pack. You can get these anytime by farming at Totesmith Tannery, which is located at Glenbright Farm in Hernand.
Okay, so finding those wandering merchants in Pywel and trying to make them drop their packs? Honestly, it’s super inconsistent and doesn’t always work. Luckily, I found a much better way to get basic packs in Crimson Desert. I can farm them pretty reliably and then use those packs to craft Kuku Packs – which is exactly what I needed for crafting!
How to Use Kuku Packs in Crimson Desert
- Once you acquire the Kuku Pot during the Main Quest, you can craft various Kuku Gear from Grimnir’s Kuku Shop at the Kilnden Workshop.
- To craft different Kuku gear, including weapons, armor, and special packs, you need to unlock Blueprints by completing Sanctums from Witches (which we have a guide on here).
- The Kuku Pot and Kuku Pack are the foundation of this crafting system. However, before making it, players need to get a basic pack as crafting material.
Where to Get Basic Packs to Craft Kuku Packs in Crimson Desert
- Head to Glenbright Farm, located directly south of the “Hernand Highlands” on the map — it’s the area where some players might have already done the side Cloudcart questline earlier.
- You can reach Glenbright Farm by going directly south from Greymanes Howling Hill camp, or by using one of several Abyss Nexuses around the farm.
- Once you reach Glenbright Farm, head southwest until you reach Totesmith Tannery (map marker on the image above). Despite the name, it has an ordinary Street Shop icon on the map rather than a typical tannery icon resembling a leather symbol, which may be a bit confusing for players looking for tannery on the map.
- Here, you will find an infinite source of basic packs, including Peddler’s Pack, Weaponsmith’s Pack, Hunter’s Pack, Empty Pack, and more.
- The only way to get these Packs from the Totesmith Tannery is to steal them, which you’ll need to equip a Mask for.
- Upon stealing, you will have committed a crime, so make sure you’re running out of the red witness area so you don’t get a bounty! But if you do get a bounty, you can clear it with this guide.

How to Craft Kuku Packs in Crimson Desert
Grimnir’s Kuku Shop offers several basic packs you can use to create Kuku Packs, such as:
- Peddler’s Pack
- Weaponsmith’s Pack
- Empty Pack
- Healer’s Pack
- Hunter’s Pack
- Tanner’s Pack
- Field Pack
- Quarrier’s Pack
- Desert Pack
- Coral Mushroom Pack
You can use any Pack in a crafting recipe. This means if a recipe asks for a specific type, like a Peddler’s Pack, you can easily swap it for another, such as a Hunter’s Pack.
You’ll also require a Kuku Pot, which you can easily make at Grimnir’s Kuku Shop using 5 Iron Ore and 5 Timber. These pots are essential for crafting both strong Kuku Weapons and Kuku Armor.
