Nine Sols: Where to Go After Goumang

As someone who’s spent countless hours navigating through the labyrinthine worlds of metroidvania games, I must say that this guide to the post-Giant’s Peak area in Nine Sols is right up my alley. The detailed steps and screenshots make it easy for even a novice player to find their way around the Cortex Center and Factory Great Hall.

In the game known as “Nine Sols“, Goumang serves as the second boss character. Players will engage her, along with two Jiangshi soldiers, within the Agrarian Hall. Defeating Goumang rewards players with her Sol Seal. Following this victory, gamers may find themselves perplexed about how to get to the Factory (Great Hall). This guide aims to clarify that dilemma, providing a clear path for players post-Goumang battle in “Nine Sols“.

Players can obtain Goumang’s Sol Seal by interacting with the machine to the left of her arena.

Nine Sols: Where to Go After Goumang

Return to Four Seasons Pavilion

After obtaining the Seal of Goumang, players should make their way back to the Four Seasons Pavilion. Although there are numerous paths for fans to get to this central location, the quickest route is by visiting the Root Node located to the right of Goumang’s arena and utilizing the fast travel function offered by Nine Sols to instantly transport themselves to the Pavilion.

On this journey back to the Four Seasons Pavilion, I can utilize the time to manufacture Pipe Vials using the 3D printer, have Kuafu make necessary adjustments, deliver items to Shuanshuan, and provide chips for Shanhai 9000.

Go to Cortex Center

Following their dealings at the Four Seasons Pavilion, players should leave the central area and proceed towards the left. Along this path, fans will stumble upon a locked barrier after venturing for a brief span, which they can open by conjuring the Mystic Nymph, guiding it onto the wall above the barrier, and manipulating the gadget that their tool interacts with.

Players are instructed to proceed towards their left until they come across a statue bearing a shield. Enthusiasts of Metroidvanias should then shatter the statue’s shield using a Charged Strike, hack the device to unlock the adjacent gate, and carry on moving leftwards.

The room past the statue is peculiar because players can’t leave it at first. Instead, fans will need to linger in this room for a while to set off a surprising event, or jump scare. After this jump scare, players should proceed to the left and activate the Cortex Center Root Node.

Go to Factory Great Hall

Nine competitors need to traverse the Cortex Center, and they’ll discover the Grand Hall, or Factory, lying ahead. Here’s a guide for spectators on how to bypass the Cortex Center’s hindrances:

  1. Go left to reach a large gate. Send the Mystic Nymph into the hole in the ceiling and hack the device to lift the gate.
  2. Climb the ropes that are beyond the gate, and use the grapple point to grab the scalable walls that are above the red spikes.
  3. Continue to ascend, using scalable walls, grapple points, Tai-Chi kick circles, and ropes as needed.
  4. At the top of the ascent, use a Charged Strike to break through a rock pillar and head left.
  5. Descend to the bottom of the room, again using grapples, Tai-Chi kicks, and more to avoid the red spikes.
  6. Exit through the bottom-left corner of the Cortex Center.

Players should now make their way to the Factory, which is also known as the Great Hall. They are progressing steadily towards unlocking their next skill and encountering the third boss. As they strive for that ability and boss, they might find it beneficial to pause and tackle the puzzle in the Factory’s Great Hall, a challenge known as Nine Sols, and engage in some general exploration.
