One Piece: 9 New Yonko Level Characters In The Final Saga

In the world of One Piece, the Yonko are four incredibly powerful pirates who dominate the New World, acting almost like royalty. Very few people can stand up to them. However, being a Yonko isn’t the only way to be strong – some pirates possess comparable power without the title, or simply don’t seek it out.

The final arc of One Piece has revealed several new characters who are incredibly powerful – some are as strong as the Yonko, and others may even exceed their abilities.

Loki

Introduction: Elbaph Arc

Loki, sometimes called the Accursed Prince of Elbaph, is a key new character in the latest story arc. He first appeared during the Elbaph arc, where it was discovered he possesses world-ending power. Loki considers himself a god of the sun, but his true strength comes from the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhoggr – a powerful Devil Fruit that lets him transform into a massive dragon capable of devastating entire countries.

Loki is incredibly powerful, mastering all three forms of Haki. He was strong enough to defeat King Harald 14 years ago – a Harald who surpassed even Rocks D. Xebec in strength. This makes Loki easily one of the Four Emperors, and arguably stronger than many of them.

Shamrock Figarland

Introduction: Elbaph Arc

I’m absolutely fascinated by Shamrock Figarland! He’s one of the Celestial Dragons, and get this – he’s Shanks’ twin brother! Being the son of Garling, he’s incredibly powerful, and the story actually says he’s just as skilled in battle as Shanks himself, which is saying something! But here’s the really mind-blowing part: he has this special deal, a ‘Depths Covenant,’ with Imu. It basically gives him crazy abilities like immortality, instant healing, and strength way beyond a normal person. It makes him a seriously formidable character!

He also wields the Cerberus Sword, powered by a remarkably strong Mythical Zoan ability – strong enough to injure someone as powerful as Loki. While his true power level is a mystery, he’s at least as strong as the Yonko, and possibly even stronger.

Gunko

Introduction: Elbaph Arc

Gunko is a Holy Knight who was recently featured in the Elbaph Arc. She used to be Princess Shuri of a kingdom in the South Blue, but was captured by the World Government and transformed into a Holy Knight, now known as Gunko.

Gunko is a formidable fighter with the power of the Aro Aro no Mi, a Devil Fruit that lets her control arrows and even alter the course of seemingly unstoppable attacks. She also appears to possess strong Haki. As a Holy Knight, she has a special bond with Imu, granting her immortality, rapid healing, and an eternally youthful body – potentially indicating a deeper connection known as the Abyssal Covenant. Imu can even possess Gunko, as demonstrated in Elbaph, and when this happens, she becomes one of the most powerful characters in the series.

Five Elders

Introduction: Egghead Arc

The Five Elders are among the most powerful characters recently introduced in One Piece. We officially met them in the Egghead Arc, where we learned their names and saw their abilities. Each Elder is proficient in all three forms of Haki. Furthermore, their connection with Imu, known as the Abyssal Covenant, gives them access to the powers of the Depths Covenant, along with eternal life and unique Yokai abilities.

Considering their combined power, the Five Elders are forces to be reckoned with, easily at the level of an Emperor. They’re incredibly difficult to defeat in battle, and in some situations, they even exceed the strength of the Yonko. Without a doubt, they rank among the most powerful characters in the series.

Garling Figarland

Introduction: Egghead Arc

Garling Figarland initially appeared as the leader of the Holy Knights. Now, following the death of Saint Saturn, he’s become one of the Five Elders. Garling has a mysterious connection with Imu, called the Abyssal Covenant, the extent of which is still unknown. However, we’ve already seen that it grants him incredible abilities, including limitless healing, immense strength, and eternal life.

Garling is a highly skilled swordsman, proven by his ability to fight Rocks D. Xebec for a time before falling in defeat 38 years ago. He seems to have become even stronger since then. Now an elder, Garling is considered one of the most masterful swordsmen alive, easily placing him among the strongest individuals in the world – at the level of the Yonko.

Scopper Gaban

Introduction: Elbaph Arc

Scopper Gaban appeared briefly in the story much earlier, but his full introduction came during the Elbaph arc. We learned he was the Pirate King’s left-hand man – one of the two ‘Wings’ who accompanied Roger on his journey to Laugh Tale. Gaban was openly acknowledged as being as skilled as Roger and Rayleigh, and some even suggested he might have been the second strongest member of the crew, a claim supported by his impressive accomplishments.

Gaban is an exceptionally skilled Haki user, mastering all three types at an advanced level. His Conqueror’s Haki is particularly potent – he damaged King Harald in battle 14 years ago with it. Even recently, despite being elderly and physically weak, Gaban effortlessly defeated Luffy and Zoro, completely shocking the Straw Hat crew. He’s currently at least as strong as one of the Yonko, and was likely even more powerful in his youth.

Rocks D. Xebec

Introduction: Elbaph Arc

Rocks D. Xebec is considered one of the strongest characters in the One Piece universe. While first hinted at during the Wano Arc, his full introduction came through the flashback on Elbaph. He possessed incredibly potent Haki and was powerful enough to defeat an Admiral with ease.

At his most powerful, Rocks was the dominant force on the seas, ushering in a new age. Only Nerona Imu was stronger than him, highlighting just how immense his power was.

Harald

Introduction: Elbaph Arc

Harald was presented in the Elbaph arc as the most powerful king the country had ever known, rivaling the strength of Rocks D. Xebec. After making a pact with Imu, known as the Depths Covenant, he became even more formidable. Harald possessed the blood of the Ancient Giants, granting him incredible superhuman strength.

Furthermore, his mastery of all three types of Haki made him incredibly difficult to defeat in battle. The Depths Covenant enhanced his already impressive abilities with infinite regeneration, immortality, and superhuman strength. Many believed he had become so powerful that he could potentially destroy the world.

Nerona Imu

Introduction: Elbaph Arc

Without a doubt, Nerona Imu is the most powerful character at the Yonko level introduced in the final part of the story. He first appeared in the Elbaph arc, giving fans a quick look at his incredible abilities. Even while weakened, Imu was almost invincible thanks to his Devil Fruit powers.

Imu fights using powerful Covenants and other unique abilities. He’s incredibly strong – potentially even stronger than all four Emperors combined. It’s likely that even if the Emperors teamed up, they wouldn’t be able to defeat him.
