Okay, so I’ve been playing Yakuza: Like A Dragon, and it’s a seriously big game! One of the cool things is you can actually go on dates. It’s not just fluff either – building relationships with these characters can actually help you out later in the game. You’ll be digging into your character’s family history, climbing the ranks, and when you need a break, you can hit the town and try to find love. There are six women you can romance, but you need to really work at it – it’s not just about showing up. You’ve gotta build up certain parts of your character and keep them happy with gifts if you want things to go anywhere!

35. Baldur’s Gate 3

All Romantic Choices Are Fantastically Written and Diverse

Okay, so Larian really nailed it with their D&D RPG. It feels like playing the tabletop game, but as a video game! The story is about my character and a crew of companions – we’ve all been infected with this nasty parasite that’s going to turn us into mind flayers if we don’t find a cure fast. Traveling with these guys is awesome, though. We’re getting really close, and honestly, some of those bonds might become something more than just friendship.

Despite having only six characters to romance, Baldur’s Gate 3 offers a surprisingly diverse and well-developed selection. As with many role-playing games, building a relationship with each character requires fulfilling specific needs and preferences. Importantly, all of these characters are available to romance regardless of the player’s gender, a trend seen in many recent RPG releases.

34. Persona 3 Reload

Players Need to Devote Time to Form Romantic Bonds

Okay, so Persona 3 Reload is out, and it’s a big update! They’ve added a bunch of new stuff and refined a lot of the old mechanics, which is awesome. But honestly, the best part is they didn’t mess with the characters I love or the people I can romance – all my favorites are still there, thankfully!

To win over a potential love interest in the game, players had to spend time building a relationship with them – called a Social Link – and making the right conversation choices. While it was possible to develop a close bond with the guide from the Velvet Room, Elizabeth, it wasn’t a typical romantic relationship like with other characters. Each romance felt different, though, because every character had their own personality and specific requirements.

I’ve been playing Divinity Original Sin 2 lately, and it’s seriously addictive! One of the coolest things is all the different characters you can romance – there are a lot of options, which is awesome. You can play through the whole game solo, but honestly, it’s way more fun having a companion by your side as you explore everything.

If you’re hoping to get close to these characters – like, really close – you’ll need to pay attention to their personal quests and build a solid friendship first. Basically, figure out what they want and what it takes to win their heart – or whatever the equivalent is in the game!

30. Dragon Age: The Veilguard

All Companions Are Romanceable Regardless of Gender or Race
