Yacht Club Games, the creators of Shovel Knight, are aiming for another success with Mina the Hollower, a new game inspired by classic retro titles. Unlike Shovel Knight‘s side-scrolling gameplay, Mina the Hollower is a top-down action-adventure game, similar to older Zelda games. A demo was available on Steam during Steam Next Fest in June 2025, and players who tried it will be able to continue their progress when the full game releases. Luckily, it doesn’t seem like fans will have to wait much longer to play the complete version.

The sword fighting feels similar to the Dark Souls series, while the intense music and violent action evoke Doom. Wow, Sony’s State of Play in February 2026 was incredible! I was completely shocked when the God of War spin-off just dropped out of nowhere, and it’s amazing to see a new Castlevania game after so many years.
