Breaking Bad Cast Recreated in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream

A talented player of the game Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream has cleverly recreated the characters from the TV show Breaking Bad as Miis, impressing other players with the level of detail. Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is Nintendo’s newest social simulation game where you create Mii characters and watch them live and interact with each other on an island, often with funny results.

Originally revealed in March 2025, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream quickly became a highly anticipated game for the Nintendo Switch, finally launching on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on April 16, 2026. It’s the first new Tomodachi Life game in over ten years, and features incredibly detailed character customization. Players can personalize everything about their characters, from their looks to their personalities, and one fan even used the tools to recreate characters from the show Breaking Bad.

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream Fan Recreates Breaking Bad Characters

A Reddit user named randomg0ds created 16 Miis inspired by characters from the shows Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul using the character creator in the game Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream. The post features iconic characters like Walter White, Jesse Pinkman, Nacho, and Kim Wexler, and has received over 7,300 upvotes. Other players have complimented the creator’s ability to capture the actors’ appearances in Mii form. When asked about their technique, the user explained that getting the proportions right is key, and focusing on the most prominent facial features helps. They also noted that it’s generally challenging to accurately recreate real people as Miis.

What’s truly remarkable about randomg0ds’ work is that they created all the details without using the game’s Face Paint feature. In Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, players can use Face Paint to add custom details to their Mii characters, but randomg0ds chose to challenge themselves by building everything from scratch. Interestingly, they’ve since had to delete their Breaking Bad Miis to make room for all the new characters, as the game’s demo only allows three Miis at a time. Luckily, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream lets players have up to 70 Miis on their island, meaning fans could potentially recreate entire series as Miis.

One of the best parts of Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is how much you can customize your characters. Nintendo wants players to create Miis that look like their loved ones or completely original creations. However, it’s tricky to share what happens in the game on social media. This seems to be because the game doesn’t block inappropriate language.
