All Chef’s Station Recipes in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

The new City Town DLC for Hello Kitty Island Adventure lets players create regional dishes using the Chef’s Station in the Imagination Cafe. Although there aren’t many recipes to unlock, cooking can be tricky because each recipe has lots of different variations. To make what customers and Hungry Figments want, you’ll need to learn the core of each recipe and all the possible flavor combinations.

To help you cook at the Imagination Cafe in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, we’ll share simple recipes for each dish, including common variations. We’ll also list all the available flavors and the ingredients needed to create them.

All Ingredients that Flavor Recipes in City Town

If you’re cooking in City Town, remember that each flavor in a dish comes from specific ingredients. Each ingredient contributes only one particular flavor. So, if a recipe needs a mix of flavors, you’ll need to use a combination of different ingredients. Here are the flavors you can add to your dishes in City Town:

Okay, so I just found out that if I want to try all the cool new fruity flavors in the City Town DLC, I’ll need to unlock and grow the City Town Orchard first. And for those super unique, imaginary flavors? I have to finish the “Sewer Sights” questline to get them. Sounds like a plan!

Mochi Recipes

During the “A Whole New Menu” quest, players will learn how to make both Mochi and Rice Flour recipes. Finishing the quest also unlocks complete access to the Chef’s Station at the Imagination Cafe.

Mochi is a simple recipe to make, needing just Rice Flour and one other ingredient to add flavor. Giving Usahana any flavor of Mochi will earn you two heart points with her.

Recipe Name Ingredients
Basic Mochi Recipe
  • Rice Flour x1
  • Any flavor ingredient x1
Rice Flour x5 Recipe
  • Rice x1

Dango Recipes

You can unlock the Dango recipe by becoming good friends with Usahana – specifically, by reaching friendship level 6. It’s a bit more complex than the Mochi recipe, as it requires three different flavorings instead of just one. But just like Mochi, giving Dango to Usahana will earn you two heart points towards building your relationship.

You’re welcome to create any Dango flavor combination you like, but there are essentially just three main types. These types differ based on how many flavors are included and the proportions of each flavor.

Recipe Name Ingredients
Triple (Flavor) Dango
  • Stick x1
  • Three Mochi of the same flavor
Double (Flavor 1) (Flavor 2) Dango
  • Stick x1
  • Mochi of first flavor x2
  • Mochi of second flavor x1
(Flavor 1) (Flavor 2) (Flavor 3) Dango
  • Stick x1
  • Mochi of different flavors x3

Rainbow Dango Recipes

You can learn the Rainbow Dango Recipe by becoming good friends with Usahana – specifically, by reaching friendship level 16. It’s made almost the same way as regular Dango, but instead of Sticks, it uses Rainbow Beams. Using Rainbow Beams makes the Rainbow Dango a particularly loved gift for Usahana, giving her three hearts when you give it to her.

Rainbow Dango and regular Dango share the same three core flavor combinations. These combinations depend on both the number of mochi flavors used and how much of each flavor is included.

Recipe Name Ingredients
Rainbow Triple (Flavor) Dango
  • Rainbow Beam x1
  • Three Mochi of the same flavor
Rainbow Double (Flavor 1) (Flavor 2) Dango
  • Rainbow Beam x1
  • Mochi of first flavor x2
  • Mochi of second flavor x1
Rainbow (Flavor 1) (Flavor 2) (Flavor 3) Dango
  • Rainbow Beam x1
  • Mochi of different flavors x3

Boba Recipes

You can get the Boba Recipe by completing Usahana’s “Tea Time” quest. This quest becomes available once you become good friends with Usahana – specifically, when you reach friendship level 9 with her.

Okay, so making tea at the Imagination Cafe is way harder than it looks! It’s seriously one of the most complicated recipes in the game. You’ve gotta be super careful picking flavors, and deciding about the Coral Milk and Tapioca is tricky. Plus, getting the right amount of honeycomb to make it sweet enough is a real challenge. The biggest thing to remember is you can only order 22 Tea Leaves and 22 Tapioca per day from the cafe, so you can’t just endlessly practice without taking orders. It really makes you think before you brew!

Customers and our team at Hungry Figments sometimes ask for very specific Boba tea orders. The best way to fulfill these requests is to understand how the drink’s name tells you what ingredients it includes. The table below will help you learn how to build Boba orders based on their names, explaining what different ingredients add to the tea.

Because Boba is a special treat Usahana really loves, we suggest only making Boba drinks when customers request them or for special events.

Boba Tea Customization Required Ingredient
Base Recipe: (Flavor) Tea, No Boba Tea Leaves x1 Flavor ingredient x1
(Flavor) Boba Tea Add Tapioca
(Flavor) Milk Tea Add Coral Milk
Unsweetened No Honeycomb
Semi-Sweet Add Honeycomb x1
Sweet Add Honeycomb x2
Very Sweet Add Honeycomb x3

When making Boba Tea, you simply include the flavors you desire. For instance, to create a Semi-Sweet Apple Milk Boba Tea, begin with the standard base of tea and one apple. Then, add tapioca, coral milk, and a single honeycomb to achieve the drink’s intended flavor profile.

Snow Ice Recipes

You’ll learn the Snow Ice Recipe and the Shaved Ice Recipe while completing the “Room for Dessert” quest. It’s an easy recipe to make, similar to Mochi, but it only restores one heart when given as a gift to Usahana.

Recipe Name Ingredients
(Flavor) Snow Ice
  • Shaved Ice x1
  • Any flavor ingredient x1
Shaved Ice x5 Recipe
  • Snowcicle x1

Onigiri Recipes

Onigiri is an easy recipe that only requires a few basic ingredients plus one for flavoring. You can learn how to make it in the City Town Sewers after finishing the “Above and Below” quest. When you find the Onigiri recipe, you’ll also unlock the recipe for Seaweed Sheets.

Onigiri is a perfect little gift for Usahana. Because seaweed can be rare, it’s smart to save your Seaweed Sheets for fulfilling cafe orders and creating Figments instead.

Recipe Name Ingredients
(Flavor) Onigiri
  • Rice x1
  • Seaweed Sheet x1
  • Flavor ingredient x1
Seaweed Sheet x5 Recipe
  • Seaweed x1

Taiyaki Recipes

Players receive the Taiyaki Recipe as part of the “Taiyaki Trials” quest. They also get the Batter Recipe at the same time, allowing them to start making Taiyaki right away.

Taiyaki are easy-to-make treats with different flavors. No matter which kind you pick, Usahana will love them as a perfect gift!

Recipe Name Ingredients
(Flavor) Taiyaki
  • Batter x1
  • Any flavor ingredient x1

Sando Recipes

As a big fan of Imagination Cafe, I was so excited to finally get the Sando Recipe! You unlock it while doing the “Treemendous Tastes” quest, but you have to finish “Outside the Block” and “Branching Out” first. And the best part? As soon as you learn how to make the Sando, you also get the Whipped Cream Recipe! It’s a perfect little reward.

Sandos come in three main types, determined by the flavors and amounts used to make them. These combinations are the same as those found in Dango, Rainbow Dango, and Ramen recipes. Giving Usahana any Sando will earn you one heart.

Recipe Name Ingredients
Triple (Flavor) Sando
  • Whipped Cream x1
  • Flavor ingredient x3
Double (Flavor 1) (Flavor 2) Sando
  • Whipped Cream x1
  • First flavor ingredient x2
  • Second flavor ingredient x1

Ramen Recipes

You can get the Ramen Recipe if you own both the Wheatflour Wonderland and City Town DLCs. You’ll also need to have broken the Opal Barrier close to Cogimyon’s Corral and advanced the story in City Town to unlock it.

Similar to Dango and Sando, Ramen has three main variations based on the added flavors. Every bowl of Ramen is a special treat for Usahana.

Recipe Name Ingredients
Triple (Flavor) Ramen
  • Noodle Grass x1
  • Flavor ingredient x3
Double (Flavor 1) (Flavor 2) Ramen
  • Noodle Grass x1

  • First flavor ingredient x1

Nigiri Recipe

You can learn the Nigiri Recipe by completing the “Secret Ingredients” quest after meeting Kirimi. It’s an easy recipe – you just need rice, a flavor of your choice, and one of the spices you get from Kirimi’s Sashimi Spire.

Nigiri are special treats meant for Usahana, but instead of giving them directly to her, it’s much more helpful to use any you create to feed the Sashimi Spire.

Recipe Name Ingredients

  • Rice x1
  • Flavor Ingredient x1
(Flavor) Nigiri with Ginger
  • Rice x1
  • Flavor Ingredient x1

Sushi Roll Recipe

The Sushi Roll is the last recipe you’ll learn at the Chef’s Station in the Imagination Cafe. You’ll unlock it near the end of the “Bonus Stage” quest in City Town. It’s made using the same combinations as the Dango and Sando recipes, but with three ingredients changed to create different flavors.

Similar to other dishes you unlock later in the game, the Sushi Roll only restores one heart for Usahana. It’s most useful when fulfilling orders at the Imagination Cafe and for Figment’s requests.

Recipe Name Ingredients
Triple (Flavor) Sushi Roll
  • Rice x1
  • Seaweed Sheets x1
  • Flavor Ingredient x3
Double (Flavor 1) (Flavor 2) Sushi Roll
  • Rice x1
  • Seaweed Sheets x1
