Resident Evil Requiem‘s Raccoon City section has three parts and 18 collectible files. Many of these files are easy to miss, so it’s important to know exactly where to find them. This guide will walk you through collecting every file in Raccoon City, step-by-step, so you can avoid having to replay the section.
The files are listed in the order they should be found, starting from the beginning of East Raccoon City and continuing through the events at the Orphanage and R.P.D. This helps you identify any missing files and collect them in the correct sequence.

Where to Find All Files and Documents in Raccoon City (RE9)

File #48 – Report on the Raccoon City Incident
After the initial cutscene in Leon’s Raccoon City section finishes, this file will become available in your Files menu.
File #49 – Raccoon City Incident Newspaper
When you’re playing as Leon, walk south down the street. You’ll find the file on the ground to the right, near some trash bags, and right in front of his car.
File #50 – Orders for the Engineer Corps
Head inside the Central Camp, where on a desk inside the blue tent, you can find this file.
File #51 – Battery Storage Locations
Go to the Underground Parking Garage and find the Battery Box near the main, locked gate to retrieve the file.
File #52 – Inventory List
After exiting the Underground Parking Garage and watching the cutscene to obtain the BSAA Container Key, look for the blue container near Cedarbrook Apartments. You’ll find the file inside, on a crate.
File #53 – Engineer Corps Note
Okay, so you need to get up to the roof of the Cedarbrook Apartments. Once you’re up there, look for a yellow container – it’s got the Broken Signal Receiver inside. The note you’re looking for is right next to it.
The map shows the locations of all the collectible files in Raccoon City Center and the Orphanage.

File #54 – R.P.D. Perimeter Report
After entering the R.P.D., go to the save point in the Main Hall. The file you need is on a crate directly across from it.
File #55 – Top Secret Operation
Inside the West Office, you can find this file at a desk that contains an open book.
File #56 – Record of Events
Head into the Operations Room and inspect the blue board in the center of the room.
File #57 – Guide Pamphlet
You can’t access File #57 just yet – it will be unlocked after the Orphanage section. Please go ahead and jump to the Orphanage section of this guide for now.
After regaining control of Leon, revisit the area of the R.P.D. that was previously blocked off. Head back to the upper east floor of the Main Hall and you’ll find the file on a couch.
File #58 – Library Card
Head south from the Operations Room to reach the Reception area. There, you’ll find a ladder you can shoot to climb. Once on the second floor, go through the corridor and enter the S.T.A.R.S Office. The file you need is inside a drawer in the office to the left as you enter. Simply open the drawer and press the X button while it’s open to find the file.
File #59 – Barry’s To Do List
On the left desk inside the S.T.A.R.S. Office, you can find this file.
File #60 – Scavenger Hunt – Clue 1
Go to the S.T.A.R.S. office and check the brown leather jacket hanging between the desks – the file you need is hidden there.
File #61 – Scavenger Hunt – Clue 2
Enter the S.T.A.R.S. Office and look to the open south locker for this file.
File #62 – Photograph
Once you’ve collected Barry’s To-Do List and the Library Card, you can go to the Library on the upper west floor and find an interactive book. It’s located upstairs, to the left across the walkway, and just to the right of the locked wooden door. Open the book to find the file you need.
All Files in the Orphanage (RE9)
File #63 – Toe Tag
Now that you’re controlling Chloe, go to the Underground Chapel and find the room with the black coffins. You can open the first coffin on the right, and it contains this file.
File #64 – Series 60 Results
After you leave the Underground Chapel, you’ll find yourself in the Research Lab. Look for an open file on a desk inside the lab.
File #65 – New Researcher’s Notebook
Also in the Research Lab, you can find this file in the back right corner of a desk.
Be sure to collect the Orphanage files while you’re here, because you won’t be able to come back to this area after leaving the Research Lab.
