As a die-hard fan of post-apocalyptic series, I can hardly contain my excitement as Walton Goggins returns to embody the enigmatic character of The Ghoul in the upcoming second season of Fallout! His recent social media post, complete with an image of him being transformed into a ‘ghoul’ by the makeup department, was nothing short of electrifying.

Work on the second season of Fallout is progressing nicely, and lately, Walton Goggins (the actor portraying The Ghoul) has been active on social media. He posted an update that included a picture from the makeup department where they were applying his ‘ghoul makeup’.

In the live-action version of the post-apocalyptic series Fallout, which debuted in April 2024, Goggins portrays Cooper ‘The Ghoul’ Howard. He shares the screen with Ella Purnell and Aaron Moten, and his exceptional acting skills in the show’s first season left a lasting impression.

To celebrate his return to the character of The Ghoul, Walton Goggins posted:

It feels good to slip back into this skin. I do this shit for the love of the game.

In the post’s picture, he was shown undergoing heavy makeup application to depict a Fallout ‘ghoul’, a character altered by radiation, as his character in the show had previously spoken a line that was referenced in the caption.

Back in April, I was hooked on the debut of Fallout on Prime. It turned out to be the platform’s biggest launch ever, and from there, things took off for the Fallout franchise. The number of players and investments skyrocketed across all the games, with titles like Fallout 76 hitting new records, years after its initial release. As a gamer, it was an exhilarating ride to be part of this gaming phenomenon!

The idea has been floated that the filming for Season 2 of Fallout is anticipated to start early, but it’s still predicted to air in 2026, which is disappointing news for many viewers as most shows currently take a two-year break between seasons.

For instance, the first season of The Last of Us was released in January 2023, and the second season isn’t expected to drop until a few months into 2025.
