A lot of players in Crimson Desert are realizing they haven’t been completing Sanctums the right way, even after playing for many hours. The game doesn’t clearly explain how to finish these Sanctums and get the rewards, which means players are often missing out on important items and benefits.
In Crimson Desert, once you finish a Sanctum puzzle, you need to use the Blinding Flash skill on the ancient device inside, then complete a quick mini-game. Doing so earns you a Core for that Sanctum, which you can then add to your Kuku Pot using Axiom Force. This is crucial for getting special Kuku Blueprints, which are important for crafting in the game. Many players are confused about this process, though, because the game doesn’t explain it very well.
Many Crimson Desert Players Aren‘t Completing Sanctums Correctly
A Reddit user, Outside_Frosting7559, discovered they hadn’t been completing Sanctums in Crimson Desert properly, believing they’d already gotten all the rewards. They were upset to learn this meant they missed out on crucial Kuku Blueprints needed for crafting.
A player with 200 hours of experience in Crimson Desert encountered a common problem, highlighting how easily even veteran players can get stuck. The overall feeling in the discussion was that many others were experiencing the same issue, with one user simply stating, “you and basically everyone else.” A new player even reported successfully completing their first Sanctum without realizing there was more to do, saying they “have no idea what you’re talking about” because the next steps “are never mentioned.” The conversation revealed that very few players knew what to do after speaking with the Witches inside each Sanctum, suggesting this is a widespread problem for Crimson Desert players.
Okay, so one thing I’ve noticed about Crimson Desert since I started playing is that it really doesn’t hold your hand. There are hardly any tutorials, and honestly, it’s a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, it’s awesome stumbling onto new things and figuring stuff out for yourself, even after hours of gameplay. It makes you want to keep exploring and feels rewarding. But, it can also be super frustrating when you miss out on important mechanics just because the game doesn’t explain them. I get that Crimson Desert is trying to avoid the overly guided experience you see in a lot of newer RPGs, but I think finding a balance between freedom and guidance would make the game way more enjoyable for a lot of us.
