Pokopia Player Builds Gigantic Temple in Honor of Pyroar

A player of the new game, Pokemon Pokopia, has created an amazing temple dedicated to the Pokemon Pyroar, which originally appeared in the Kalos region. Pokemon Pokopia has become popular with fans since its release on the Nintendo Switch 2 earlier this year. The game’s developers, Omega Force, provided players with extensive building tools, and fans are already demonstrating their impressive creativity.

It’s become common to see fan-made tributes to Pokémon within the game. Because everyone has a favorite Pokémon, many players enjoy creating their own unique designs. Recently, a player named Pokopia built a large statue of Shiny Charizard in Rocky Ridges. Charizard has been a beloved character since the original Pokémon Red and Green games, so it’s not surprising that others are inspired to build similar creations featuring this popular Fire-type Pokémon.

A Pokopia Tribute to Pyroar

A Reddit user named Ocarina_of_Space shared a video showcasing an impressive Pyroar statue they built in the game Pokemon Pokopia. The video starts in a grand hall where a Ditto character comes down from a throne, passing statues of Magby breathing fire. The Ditto then floats upwards and out of the hall, exiting through the mouth of a large Pyroar statue. The creator explained they built it because they had a surplus of Pokemetal and volcanic ash. Interestingly, while Pokopia features many different Pokemon, Pyroar isn’t one of them. The builder added that they would have loved to actually have a Pyroar inhabit the temple if the game allowed it.

The Pokemon Company hasn’t said if there will be any downloadable content for Pokopia, but given how popular the game is, it’s a strong possibility. If they do add more to the game, we can expect to see more Pokemon included. With over 1,000 Pokemon available, it’s hard to say whether Pyroar will be a priority. While Pyroar received a Mega Evolution in Pokemon Legends: Z-A last year, it hasn’t become as popular as Pokemon like Charizard, Mewtwo, or Pikachu. Because Pyroar is a bit of a fan favorite rather than a mainstream star, the statue created by Ocarina_of_Space is especially noteworthy.

Adding downloadable content (DLC) to Pokopia could keep the game popular and give Pokemon fans something new to play while they wait for Pokemon Winds and Waves. While Pokemon Winds and Waves is planned for the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027, a specific release date hasn’t been set, meaning the game is still some time away. Releasing DLC for the already-successful Pokopia would help bridge that gap, and the promise of extra content might even encourage fans to buy a Nintendo Switch 2 if they don’t already own one.
