Pokemon GO: How To Get Shiny Suicune

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can confidently say that Pokemon GO has managed to hold its own among the sea of gaming titans, and it’s easy to see why. The regular events, shiny variants, and the ever-elusive Shiny Suicune keep players on their toes and coming back for more.

For quite some time now, Pokemon GO has managed to captivate a large number of people due to several factors. Apart from offering recurring events like Spotlight Hour, Max Mondays, and Raid Hours to encourage repeat play, the game also features rare, shimmering variations of Pokemon that add an element of excitement.

As an avid fan of Pokemon GO, I’m always on the hunt for my favorite creatures, and nothing beats catching a Shiny one! These rare Pokemon have unique color schemes that set them apart from their original forms, making them a real showstopper during raid battles. Collecting Shinies adds an extra layer of excitement to my gaming experience. Among all the Shiny Pokemon in Pokemon GO, none are more coveted than Suicune. Here’s how I managed to get mine:

How To Get Shiny Suicune In Pokemon GO

Pokemon GO: How To Get Shiny Suicune

To catch a Pokemon like Suicune, especially its shiny variant, you really need to be quite fortunate. This Pokemon is extremely scarce and rarely appears in the wild, making it clear just how uncommon the Shiny version truly is. Most players who have played Pokemon GO and managed to capture a shiny Suicune did so by successfully completing a raid battle.

Suicune is a five-star raid boss, and it will show up as a shadow version and is extremely difficult to defeat. Records from Pokemon GO have shown that these raids likely show up on Saturdays and Sundays starting in early February and ending in August. Sometimes, it will also appear for in-game events or other seasons.

When Suicune appears in a raid, it’s crucial for players to have a suitable Pokemon at hand, specifically one that is effective against this legendary creature. Suicune belongs to the Water-type category of Pokemon, which means it is vulnerable to Grass-type and Electric-type attacks. To increase their chances of success in the raid, players should avoid using Pokemon that are Fire types, Ground types, or Rock types as these will sustain more damage from Suicune’s Water attacks, potentially leading to an unsuccessful encounter.

After successfully overcoming the five-star raid battle and vanquishing the Legendary Suicune, players will then have an opportunity to try catching it. However, whether they’ve managed to snag a shimmering variant won’t be evident until after the catch is made. If a shiny version wasn’t captured, players should engage in another raid featuring Suicune as the boss and strive to defeat it again. Since this Pokemon can’t be found in the wild, players are encouraged to catch multiple Suicunes through raids, using them as companions to collect candies in large quantities. This strategy has emerged as the most reliable means of catching a shiny Suicune within Pokemon GO.
