How to Resurrect Zombies in Graveyard Keeper

In the game Graveyard Keeper, zombies act as free workers. You can assign them tasks like mining, crafting, and even writing. To get these zombie helpers, you’ll need to complete certain main quests, including meeting a character named Snake and unlocking a gate with his help.

Unlocking The Gate With Snake To Find Gunter

Players can now help Snake open the gate under the house to get a special stamp for meat deliveries. To do this, they’ll need to talk to Gunter, a zombie who’s chained up and can give them helpful advice.

The Keepers Key & Instructions

Snake will tell players how to get a key, but they’ll actually need to get the Keepers Key from the Astrologer. You can find the Astrologer at the lighthouse on the east side of the map, but only when it’s a blue day.

Once players have both the Instructions and the Keeper’s Key, they can examine them at the Study Table under the church. This reveals the Active Key, which they give to Snake to open the gate.

Talking With Gunter

Once through the gate, players can explore the new area, and there are two things to look out for.

  • Talk to Gunter, a chained-up zombie in one of the rooms.
  • Unlock blueprints for the Resurrection Table & Porter Station at the cabinet next to him.
  • Find 3x Zombie Juice in the broken cabinet next to Gunter.

If you’re following Snake’s instructions and entering the dungeon in Graveyard Keeper, this guide will help you locate the Bucket of Blood and Bloody Nails.

Finding The Buried Zombies & Their Gear

Gunter will let players know about some zombies and their equipment hidden to the north of the church. To reach them, take the road leading north from the church and go through the first tunnel. You’ll see some ruined beehives on the right as the road curves, and beyond that, you’ll find a blocked passage. It’s a good idea to bring crafting materials like planks, iron pieces, and wedges, because you’ll need to fix the blockage.

To the right of the debris, players can dig and uncover blueprints for new zombies, as well as find two zombies they can capture and use.

How To Put Zombies To Work

You can pick up zombies as if they were logs and then carry them to a workbench. Once at the workbench—like a Sawhorse—you can assign them a task. Simply pick up the zombie and, when close to the workbench, you’ll be able to place them there. They’ll continue working until the job is finished.

This makes things faster and more efficient. Zombies can also work at designated stations and factories to produce and deliver goods.

How To Resurrect New Zombies

To create new zombies in Graveyard Keeper, players must first build a Resurrection Table in the Morgue. They’ll also need certain materials, including:

  • 1 Fresh Body
  • 1 Zombie Juice
  • 10 Faith

Bodies must be at 90% or over to be considered fresh, so make sure to pay attention to deliveries.

New corpses are delivered consistently if you keep the donkey fed with carrots and its cart wheels oiled with Seed Oil. You’ll also need 3 Zombie Juice, which you can find in the cabinet near Gunter. If you run out of Zombie Juice, you can craft more at an Alchemy Workbench using 1 Health Powder and 1 Blood.

As for Faith, this can be gained by performing successful church sermons each week.
