The second season of My Dress-Up Darling (also called Sono Bisque Doll) came out late last year, along with popular shows like My Hero Academia Final Season. Fans are hoping it gets renewed for another season.
I’ve been following the anime, and it’s been great to see all the cool partnerships forming back in Japan. Saitama Prefecture, for example, has really embraced it – they’ve already shown off a racing car decorated with images from My Dress-Up Darling, and I hear there are even more surprises coming in the next few days!
Marin Kitagawa Featured in Taikyu Series 2026
Dexerto reports that the Suzuka Circuit will host the second race of the 2026 ENEOS Super Taikyu Series and will also be the first time a specially designed Mercedes-AMG GT3, inspired by the character Marin Kitagawa from My Dress-Up Darling, appears in a race. The Super Taikyu Series, a long-running endurance race established in 1991, is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year and features both professional and amateur drivers competing on prominent Japanese circuits.
The race at Suzuka Circuit was held on April 19th and went on for five hours. This event is part of an effort to boost tourism in Iwatsuki Ward, Saitama – the real-life inspiration for the manga and anime’s setting. Additionally, the character Marin has been appointed as an official ambassador for Tatsuya Kataoka Racing International (TKRI).

Iwatsuki has been famous for doll making, particularly Hina dolls, since the 17th century, earning it the nickname “City of Dolls.” This rich history is probably why the story is set there. Keep an eye on the official website for more details about the partnership between the series and Iwatsuki.
When Will My Dress-Up Darling Season 3 Be Released?
Even though the show was popular, the second season finished last year and there haven’t been any updates about a third season. The anime’s producer, Shota Umehara, recently said they’re starting from scratch with any potential continuation, but he’s interested in making another season or even a movie.
I noticed the second season of the anime ended around chapter 86 of the original manga, which is almost at the end of volume 11. That leaves about four more volumes, plus one extra chapter, that could potentially be covered in a future season or movie. Honestly, though, the anime left out a lot of details, characters, and events. I think a spin-off series focusing on that missing content would be a great idea too.
