There are many secrets to uncover in Citadelle Des Morts, from the main Easter Egg quest itself to several smaller Easter Eggs. One unexpected secret, however, involves the bell tower located at the map’s spawn point, which is tied to a rather peculiar side Easter Egg. Here is how to complete the Bell Tower Easter Egg on Citadelle Des Morts.
How To Unlock Dining Hall Fast Travel
Initially, gamers will be required to fix the Village Rampart’s Cannon in the first phase of the Easter Egg quest. Once repaired, they’ll gain the power to instantly teleport to the Dining Hall. Observant players might spot that after directing the cannon towards the castle and firing it to blast open the main gate, the crank for rotating the cannon will become damaged.
To repair it, players will need to collect two items. The first is the crank itself, which will fly into the Town Square. If players head over to the far south side of the Town Square, they will find the crank sitting in a banana box. Be sure to hold the Interact Button near the crank to pick it up.
The upcoming item is a blowtorch, located within the Dining Hall. To locate it, players should make their way to the Dining Hall and inspect the area in the right corner, specifically under Vulture Aid. There, they will find the blowtorch resting among some wooden crates. Simply interact with this blowtorch to take possession of it.
Once all items have been gathered, players can return to the Rampart Cannon and press and hold the Interact key in its vicinity to reattach the crank. After this, players may rotate the cannon so it faces the castle, enabling them to warp-travel to the Dining Hall. However, remember to turn the cannon back towards the Town Square to progress further in the Easter Egg hunt.
How To Complete The Citadelle Des Morts Bell Tower Easter Egg
To accomplish the Bell Tower Easter Egg, players need to travel to the Town Square 100 times using the restored Rampart Cannon. Each use of the Rampart Cannon consumes 500 Essence, so in total, players will need to spend a whopping 50,000 Essence just for this Easter Egg task.
Typically, moving the Rampart Cannon to the Town Square propels players onto the Tavern rooftop. But on the hundredth journey, they’ll be catapulted to the bell tower on the southern side of the spawn instead. Once that happens, the bell will persistently chime, attracting all nearby zombies towards it for a full minute. Since the bell tower behaves like a Cymbal Monkey, it will also drop two Cymbal Monkeys for players to incorporate into their strategic inventory.
