  • GGG has shared a list of high-priority Path of Exile 2 issues that are currently being investigated, including delayed verification emails, PC crashes, and endless loading screens.

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I have to admit that the launch of Path of Exile 2 has been quite the rollercoaster ride. The game debuted with much fanfare and excitement, but unfortunately, it seems like the technical issues were as anticipated as the sequel itself.

Grinding Gear Games, based in New Zealand, has disclosed a list of top concerns they’re looking into regarding “Path of Exile 2” shortly after its early access release. They’ve been addressing these issues promptly.

On December 6, the follow-up to GGG’s 2013 action RPG was released for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. Regarding its Steam release, Path of Exile 2 encountered numerous technical difficulties at launch. Similarly, the console versions experienced issues as well.

As an avid fan, I’m excited to share that although some initial hiccups with the game have been ironed out, Grinding Gear Games (GGG) is still diligently working on resolving several other issues. Recently, the Tencent subsidiary has given us an update on their progress, revealing a list of key concerns they’re currently examining in Path of Exile 2. This list includes server-related problems causing delays in email responses for password resets, verification, and other account management actions. These issues have unfortunately hindered some players from joining the early access for Path of Exile 2 promptly.

  • Delayed emails for Verification, Unlock Codes, Password resets etc.
  • Migration out of Solo-Self Found leagues is temporarily disabled.
  • Investigating cases where some players experience crashes and have to restart their PCs.
  • Endless loading screens sometimes while in a party.

In their recent update, Grinding Gear Games admitted they had to temporarily halt the transition from the Solo-Self Found leagues in Path of Exile 2 due to ongoing bug fixes. Additionally, they are actively working on resolving PC crashes, especially those that necessitate a complete system restart. Furthermore, they are addressing an issue causing endless loading screens when playing in a party.

GGG Is Already Investigating Even More Path of Exile 2 Issues

Currently, the team behind “Path of Exile 2” is focusing on several other tasks. While not all problems are immediately addressed publicly, this doesn’t always mean they aren’t being addressed. Fans who wish to help improve the game can do so by submitting bug reports or adding more details to existing ones.

In spite of some initial technical hiccups, common with early access games, Path of Exile 2 has had a highly successful debut. It’s now one of the most played games on Steam, and it’s also gaining traction on both the Xbox Marketplace and PlayStation Store. This is surprising given that its early access version requires a purchase of at least $29.99, and many more potential players are probably waiting for Path of Exile 2 to become free-to-play upon its full release.
