As a seasoned player of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete, I can’t help but feel a twinge of excitement every time I see those tantalizing Fortune Cookies. They’re like the virtual equivalent of a lucky dip, with the added bonus of adorable animal-themed fortunes!
In Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete, a large portion of the available furniture and clothing items can be either crafted by Cyrus and Reese or purchased from the Market Place. If you’re on the hunt for exclusive items, it might be worth your while to invest in Fortune Cookies. As you might imagine, each cookie comes with a fortune, but the level of that fortune will dictate the type of Pocket Camp Complete furniture/clothing item you receive. Should an item catch your eye, give it a go and try your luck, just remember you’ll need Bells and Leaf Tokens for this endeavor.
Where to Find Fortune Cookies in Pocket Camp Complete
Regular Fortune Cookies vs. Event Fortune Cookies
Opening your map in “Pocket Camp Complete” reveals an icon featuring Timmy and Tom Nook. Click on this icon, and it’ll transport you to the Fortune Cookie Shop. You could also teleport directly to the Market Place and chat with Tommy instead. In the Fortune Cookie Shop, you can purchase three types of cookies for 500 Bells apiece, though only two varieties will be shown each day.
- Tommy’s Fortune Cookie
- Timmy’s Fortune Cookie
- * Clothing Fortune Cookie
* You can also obtain Clothing Fortune Cookies by completing requests given to you by the animals.
As a gamer, I’d put it like this: “I’m gonna score some sweet loot from Tommy/Timmy’s Fortune Cookie! Could be a Shogi Piece or a Red Boston Bag. If luck’s on my side with the Clothing Fortune Cookies, I might even snag a random outfit that I wouldn’t have to craft myself. Since these cookies can be had for Bells, if I’ve got some spare change, I’ll definitely grab ’em!
Event/Special Cookies
During in-game events, the Event Banners rotate. There are more than a dozen distinct Event Banner options available, each with its unique theme such as Tutu’s cookie-themed bear cookie or Marcie’s sugared cookie. Once you select a banner, you can exchange 5 Leaf Tokens for 1 Event Cookie, or 25 Leaf Tokens for 5 Event Cookies. Additionally, you will earn 5 stamps for your Stamp Card and an extra bonus stamp, making it a total of 6 stamps if you opt for the 5 Event Cookies.
At Event Cookies, you won’t find the unique items (either furniture or clothing) anywhere else. If there’s something you’re keen on, consider purchasing a 5-pack. A key point to remember is that you can’t obtain Event Cookies using Bells; instead, you’ll need Leaf Tokens for payment.
Complete Cookie Catalog
At the base of the Event Cookies banner, you’ll find a link labeled “Complete Cookie Catalog.” Clicking on this will transport you to another screen where you can utilize “Complete Tickets” to obtain a single “Special Fortune Cookie.” Complete Tickets are quite scarce, but they offer the unique opportunity to pick any Special or Event Cookie for drawing, even if it’s not currently active during the in-game event.
Typically, the subjects shown in the catalog will rotate and become the Event Cookies. For instance, your banner might display Fortune Cookies with a Christmas theme, but these will change to another subject from the Full Cookie Catalogue once the 20+ days have passed.
If you opt for purchasing cookies via Complete Tickets from the catalog, you won’t have the option to buy them in larger quantities, such as a set of 5 cookies.
Stamp Cards
Every time you consume a cookie, you’ll accrue one stamp on your Stamp Passport. Your Stamp Passport can contain up to 10 stamps, and once you fulfill the necessary conditions, you’ll receive a new one. By choosing the ‘Trade with Stamps’ option, you can obtain an item from the current ‘Event Cookies’ collection for free. Keep in mind that not every item requires a single Stamp Passport. Based on the rarity of the furniture, you might need anywhere from 5 to 10 Stamp Passports.
In the Fortune Cookie Catalog, it’s not possible to swap Stamp Cards for an item. Instead, they are exclusively usable with the ongoing event banners.
Understanding Fortune Cookie Rates
Bronze, Silver, and Gold
Choosing an Event Cookie allows you to view its prizes. These are rated from 3 to 5 stars, excluding Tommy’s or Timmy’s Fortune Cookies. Each time your character consumes a fortune cookie, they receive a fortune with a bronze, silver, or gold border. For Event Cookies, the fortunes display an embroidery-style design with bronze, silver, or gold accents. All Event or Special Cookies contain one exceptional 5-star furniture item.
- Bronze = 3-star items
- Silver = 4-star items
- Gold = 5-star items
Unfortunately, it is inevitable that duplicates will occur when you open a fortune cookie or a pack of them. It’s more likely that you’ll receive several 3-star items before getting the coveted 5-star furniture. Here’s an approximation of the Fortune Cookie rates:
Fortune Type | Rate of Appearance |
---|---|
Bronze (2/3-star) | ≈ 13/14.01% |
Silver (4-star) | ≈ 6.8% |
Gold (5-star) | ≈ 2.6% |
