As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must say that the latest Overwatch 2 leaks have me buzzing like a proverbial Fire Nation warrior! The potential addition of Katara Mei to the Avatar: The Last Airbender collaboration event is just the icing on the cake. With Aang Zenyatta, Zuko Genji, Toph Venture, Suki Kiriko, and Appa Orisa already confirmed, this crossover is shaping up to be an epic showdown of water, earth, air, and fire.
It appears that Overwatch 2 is unveiling Katara Mei as a sixth character skin, which is part of its upcoming collaboration event with Avatar: The Last Airbender. This new skin is joining at least five other skins based on Aang and his friends in the Overwatch 2 x Avatar: The Last Airbender crossover, set to be released in the game on December 17.
More recently, it was confirmed that Overwatch 2 will feature a collaboration with Avatar: The Last Airbender starting in Season 14. Shortly after the announcement, five skins for the crossover between Avatar and Overwatch 2 were uncovered: Aang as Zenyatta, Zuko as Genji, Toph as Venture, Suki as Kiriko, and Appa as Orisa.
It looks like there could potentially be a sixth skin added to this collaboration, as an advertisement for an upcoming

Though this advertisement doesn’t definitively prove the collaboration between Avatar and Overwatch 2 for new skins, it strongly hints at it. Many of the skins from the previous leak can also be seen in this new image, which supports their authenticity. However, Toph Venture is not visible in the picture; but since Overwatch 2 confirmed its skin on Twitter, it’s possible that they couldn’t fit it into the cropped image as shown in the leaked ad and will be included in the full version instead.
If these leaks are true, it’s the first time that Overwatch 2 has featured six skins in a collaboration event. In the past, crossovers usually offered four or five skins, with the larger collaborations often providing one of the skins for free through in-game challenges, while the rest were sold in the shop. It’s yet unclear how these new skins will be obtained, but it seems likely that at least one – possibly Appa Orisa – will be available for free during the Overwatch 2 x Avatar event.
Thankfully, players won’t have to wait much longer for the news. The collaboration between Overwatch 2 and Avatar: The Last Airbender is scheduled to start on December 17. This means that fans should anticipate an official unveiling no later than a day or two prior to that date. Players will soon find out if the leaks were accurate, and whether there are any more unannounced skins in the upcoming Overwatch 2 x Avatar: The Last Airbender event.
