Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 Finale Has A Release Date And Time

As a die-hard Bleach fan with over two decades of fandom under my belt, this announcement feels like Christmas came early! The finale of Thousand-Year Blood War is nearly upon us, and I can hardly contain my excitement! The addition of Marina Inoue and Chiaki Kobayashi to the voice cast only sweetens the deal. I’ve followed both of these talented actresses since their Attack on Titan and Mashle days, so hearing them bring new life to Bleach characters is a dream come true.

Fans of “Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War” (TYBW) should note down the date. It has been announced that the final season’s episode will be broadcasted as a two-part special on December 28, 2024, by VIZ Media.

In the United States, episodes 39 and 40 will be aired consecutively on Hulu starting from 7:15 AM Pacific Time. For viewers outside the US, these episodes will be available on Disney+, also in a back-to-back format, with the first episode airing at 7:15 AM PT followed by the second one at 7:45 AM PT.

New Voices For The Finale

During a lively TikTok broadcast, the creative mind behind “Bleach”, Tite Kubo, shared fresh perspectives with viewers about the series. Notably, he announced that the final episode will feature voice actors portraying the younger selves of two significant characters.

Fans who casually enjoy anime should be familiar with Marina Inoue, the actress behind the voice of Armin Arlert from Attack on Titan.

The second is Chiaki Kobayashi, who performed in Mashle: Magic and Muscles as Mash Burnedead.

The Journey Of Thousand-Year Blood War

The third season’s conclusion means the Thousand-Year Blood War arc is almost complete.

Back in March of 2020, I’d been eagerly waiting for news about the upcoming adaptation. Finally, it was officially confirmed that it would be split into four parts! The first installment dropped in October 2022, with the second following in July 2023, and the third arriving in October 2024. Can’t wait to see how the story unfolds!

Presently, Season 4 has yet to announce its release date. However, during the live broadcast, Kubo along with the voice artists for Ichigo (Masakazu Morita), Uryu (Noriaki Sugiyama), Rukia (Fumiko Orikasa), and Renji (Kentaro Ito) shared some exciting insights about what’s to come in the upcoming season.

As for the fourth season [Part 4] of the anime, there’s still no news or details I can share about it at the moment. However, the fact that I can’t discuss anything…you get the idea. Keep an anticipatory eye out for it! In the fourth season, viewers might find themselves saying, “Hold on, this isn’t in the original manga,” or “I’ve never seen this before!” It could be like, “I don’t recognize this part of Bleach!” There may even be moments during the fourth season where people exclaim, “I’ve never seen this before!

What To Expect In Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 4

In many instances, anime versions of manga series often incorporate additional scenes or modify existing ones, particularly when the original creator is part of the process. To illustrate this, take the show Attack on Titan. Characters like Jean, Sasha, and Connie were given more focus and developed further throughout the anime. Moreover, for the final episode, Hajime Isayama addressed criticisms about a significant dialogue between key characters by rewriting it to accommodate those issues.

The “Thousand-Year Blood War” has introduced unique characters to expand the storyline and intensify the suspenseful scenes. If these novel moments are already present in the anime, it raises questions about how substantial some of these additions could be. When Kubo mentions “entire sections,” does that imply an entire episode could consist of new content?

Kubo manages a membership site where he engages with fans and offers exclusive information and materials. This service is known as Klub Outside. Around the beginning of last December, he updated the platform with a special message.

Today I attended a meeting for part 4! We seriously discussed each episode, one by one! For this meeting, I had prepared new storyboards, and the production team was very enthusiastic!!

In the context of the latest post, we find that the reference to fresh storyboards aligns with the livestream comment about exclusive content. Furthermore, this update makes it clear that the upcoming Part 4 will be presented as a series rather than a movie. Crucially, it also signals that pre-production work is currently being carried out.

When Will Part 4 Release?

In October, we saw the premieres of both Part 1 and Part 3, whereas Part 2 came out in July. If this trend continues, it’s likely that we might see Part 4 released in July 2025.

We wish Kubo and Studio Pierrot smooth sailing on production.
