2024 marked the conclusion of the Gaming World Tour, following a year packed with exceptional tournaments. The team is now eagerly anticipating the new opportunities that 2025 will bring. This past year, the group, featuring Jake Lucky and Hunter Grooms, visited South Korea, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, and Germany. However, in 2025, they aim to make every event even more grand and expansive.
Here are the events that the team at Gaming World Media is most looking forward to for 2025.
Around The World With GWM
Recently, I had a chat with Jake and Hunter, keen to hear about the exciting events they’re looking forward to in 2025.
1. Tokyo Games Show (Japan)
The Tokyo Game Show, which we’ve been keeping an eye on for quite some time due to its status as one of the largest video game events, is undoubtedly going to be even more impressive following my experience at G-STAR in Korea. I can hardly conceive how much larger and superior TGS could possibly be.
2. BLAST Austin Major (United States)
We’re really looking forward to a Major tournament in North America because it gives us the chance to witness the enthusiasm of Counter-Strike fans from all over North America. Such esports events are not common in North America, so the anticipation around an event like this is definitely something special to look out for.
3. Runefest (United Kingdom)
Being a longtime enthusiast of RuneScape, I’ve always dreamt about going to Runefast. Now that I know Jagex is developing a brand-new open-world survival game, my excitement for what they might unveil has only grown bigger.
4. Esports World Cup (Saudi Arabia)
The EWC really just gives us some of the best access to multiple esports and players. Being able to hop from stage to stage and put out loads of coverage and interviews is a perfect scenario for us.
5. Six Invitational Boston (United States)
