As a long-time fan of the Dragon Ball universe and someone who has witnessed the evolution of these characters over the years, I must say that it’s quite amusing to see how the balance of power has shifted. Back in my day, it was Frieza who reigned supreme, but now we have a new generation of powerful Saiyans who are giving him a run for his money.
Among the most formidable characters ever in the Dragon Ball universe, Broly truly left an indelible mark with his first canonical appearance in “Dragon Ball Super: Broly.” The sight of this Legendary Super Saiyan scaling unimaginable power levels and compelling both Goku and Vegeta to merge is a scene that has fans clamoring for more.
Following Goku’s persuasion and reassurance, it seems likely that Broly will soon join the Z-Warriors’ ranks. Yet, it’s important to note that this formidable fighter may find himself in challenging situations, as he has the potential to be defeated by various powerful characters encountered throughout the Dragon Ball series.
8. Son Goku
With His Ultra Instinct Form, Broly Doesn’t Stand A Chance
- Probability of fighting Broly: Medium (already fought in Dragon Ball Super: Broly)
In the vibrant world of Dragon Ball, I stand by, watching the iconic figure who needs no introduction – Goku. Since the opening episode, this character has been an unwavering presence, undergoing remarkable transformations as he faced increasingly formidable adversaries. With every battle, his strength was tested, but in true fashion, he emerged triumphant.
In intense battles, Goku’s ultimate form, Ultra Instinct, allows him to maintain a state of tranquility and nimbly evade opponents, using their power against them in devastating strikes. If he had managed to achieve this form during his fight with Broly, the Legendary Super Saiyan, there would have been no hope for him in that battle.
7. Vegeta
Vegeta’s Ultra Ego Form Will Make It Easy To Punish Broly’s Wild Offense
- Probability of fighting Broly: Medium (already fought in Dragon Ball Super: Broly)
Over the Dragon Ball series, the Saiyan Prince has experienced significant changes in his personality. Originally a formidable foe, he developed a fierce rivalry with Goku and eventually transformed into a valiant Z Warrior after finding tranquility on Earth.
He has defended the universe on numerous occasions, with recent occurrences revealing a fresh form that transforms Vegeta into an uncontrollable combat berserker. The Ultra Ego boosts Vegeta’s power proportional to the harm he sustains, making him a formidable opponent even for a reckless Broly who occasionally acts impulsively in fights.
6. Jiren
It’s A Closer Fight Than Most People Would Expect, But Jiren Will Emerge Victorious
- Probability of fighting Broly: Low (very rare that they’ll cross paths)
As an avid fan, I can’t help but marvel at the strategic brilliance behind introducing Jiren in the Tournament of Power! This powerhouse of a Pride Trooper kept us on our toes with his extraordinary abilities that left enemies vanquished without the slightest twitch of a muscle. The chasm between him and the rest of the combatants was truly palpable, making every battle he participated in a must-watch event!
After multiple formidable adversaries attacked him simultaneously, Goku activated Ultra Instinct, ultimately defeating Jiren at the end of the Tournament of Power. Although Broly and Jiren may not target each other, it’s clear that Jiren would barely give Broly a chance to counterattack before using his strong aura to deliver rapid, consecutive blows, ending the fight easily.
5. Beerus
It Will Take Little To No Effort For Beerus To Punish Broly
- Probability of fighting Broly: Medium (may need to control Broly if he goes berserk during training)
The colossal influence of the God of Destruction from Universe 7 was profoundly felt when he first appeared in “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods”. This almighty figure possesses a vast amount of power that allows him to easily eliminate many opponents with minimal effort.
In this case, Broly isn’t an exception either; he may have considerable power as a Legendary Super Saiyan, but nothing can protect him from Beerus when he becomes serious and unleashes 100% of his strength, effectively ending the battle instantaneously.
4. Whis
The Angel Will Barely Put In Any Effort To Defeat The Legendary Super Saiyan
- Probability of fighting Broly: Medium (may need to control Broly if he goes berserk during training)
One of the most tranquil and enigmatic characters in Dragon Ball Super is Whis. The disclosure that he surpasses Beerus in strength adds an epic touch to the film’s conclusion, implying that training with this angel would be the logical next step for Goku and Vegeta.
If Broly chooses to confront the strongest entity in Universe 7, he’d be acting foolishly. Whis might dismiss him as a mere toy and, without much exertion, eliminate him should Broly become too bothersome.
3. Gohan
His Gohan Beast Form Is Ridiculously Strong And Can Easily Handle Broly
- Probability of fighting Broly: Low (has no quarrel with the Saiyan)
In the emergence of Gohan’s Beast form, Goku’s offspring has soared back to prominence as one of the mightiest Saiyans ever known. Whether this transformation seemed deserved or not, viewers can’t help but acknowledge that Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero delivered for fans eager to see Gohan regain his significance.
It’s established that Gohan Beast is stronger than Ultra Instinct, so Broly stands little chance against Gohan in this state. Even if Broly uses his Legendary Super Saiyan powers at their peak, Gohan should be able to handle the rampaging Broly without taking much damage.
2. Zeno
A God That Can Destroy Universes With A Snap Of A Finger Is Easily Going To Defeat Broly
- Probability of fighting Broly: Low (there’s no way that Broly makes the grievous mistake of undermining the Omni-King)
In the vast array of universes he oversees, Zeno has no need to specifically seek out and eliminate just one pest. The Omni-King’s power is beyond comprehension, making any notion of engaging in battle with him an incredibly foolish choice.
The astonishing fact that even the mightiest cosmic entities show reverence to this seemingly childlike figure underscores the profound respect the Omni-King commands. This is a sentiment echoed by Goku, which in turn delights Zeno, finding him adorable, and leading to their friendship.
1. Frieza
Black Frieza Is Powerful Enough To Take Out Ultra Ego Vegeta And Ultra Instinct Goku With A Single Punch
- Probability of fighting Broly: High (definitely holds a grudge after being humiliated in Dragon Ball Super: Broly)
Fans are yet to forget the embarrassment Frieza felt when Broly defeated him, a defeat that occurred during their escape plan. The moment they decided to master the Fusion Dance became immediate. In his Golden form, despite trying repeatedly, Frieza struggled to land even one hit against the furious Saiyan who kept on pounding him mercilessly.
Frieza doesn’t forget an insult, and he’d love to test out his new Black Frieza form on the impertinent Saiyan who dared to lay a hand on him. If he could knock out Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta with a single punch, then Broly stands no chance against Frieza’s strongest form.
