Escape from Tarkov’s Winter Twitch Drops Event Starts December 30

As a hardcore Escape from Tarkov gamer with years of looting, raiding, and dying under my belt, I can’t help but get excited about the annual Winter Twitch Drops campaign. It’s like Christmas for us Tarkov veterans! The wipe is inevitable, but it’s always a fresh start, a chance to gear up all over again, and maybe this time, I won’t die as soon as I step foot into Customs.

Battlestate Games announced that the Winter Twitch Drops event for Escape from Tarkov begins on December 30, implying that the game’s reset, or ‘wipe’, will happen a few days prior. This is customary – these events typically start following the game’s platform-wide reset, which is commonly referred to as a ‘wipe’.

With the upcoming version 0.16, you’ll find this wipe coming hand-in-hand. This massive update is packed with exciting novelties such as numerous new weapons, adjustments to game balances, and a significant revamp of Customs, one of the most cherished maps in the game by fans.

With The Wipe Comes a Drop

According to the information posted on the Escape from Tarkov website, the Winter Drops event will take place from December 30 to January 4. Following this, the Escape from Tarkov Arena Drops event will be held from January 4 to January 8.

The developer suggested that streamers should sign up if they wish to join the campaign, as content creators will be given specific time slots according to their schedule. It’s not hard to imagine some well-known streamers who might secure a place in the Winter Drops campaign – it’s a period when they usually earn the most revenue.

These streamers – Landmark, Pestily, WillerZ, Glorious, StankRat, Gingy, and Trey – are expected to continuously stream Tarkov on Twitch as part of the wipe and the Twitch Drops initiative.

This year’s rewards for viewers are yet to be confirmed, but last time around, viewers had to accumulate a significant amount of watch hours to receive random in-game drops in Escape from Tarkov. Some viewers managed to obtain thousands of rounds of ammo, while others received packets of noodles or similar items.

Battlestate wrote on social media:
