How to get the Platinum Trophy for Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy

As a seasoned adventurer who’s traversed through countless realms, I must say that the guide for Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy is nothing short of spectacular! It’s like having a trusty old map, guiding me through the treacherous territories of the game. From the scorching heat of Fire Canyon to the creepy crawlies of Spider Cave, each step of the journey has been meticulously laid out for us newbies.

The classic game “Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy” has received an upgraded version on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, boasting a freshly polished collection of Trophies. This upgrade presents a chance for series enthusiasts as well as trophy collectors to snag a sleek new platinum trophy. Though many of the trophies resemble their original counterparts (like collecting all Precursor Orbs), there are also some unique challenges thrown in to keep things engaging.

In this guide for “Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy”, we’ll help you create a well-organized strategy to snag all those new trophies swiftly and effectively. We’ll suggest optimal places to delve into first, ensuring you gather everything in an area during your initial visit. By following the correct sequence, you can minimize unnecessary returns to areas other than the connecting hubs across the game world.

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy – Trophy Roadmap

In this segment, we’ll simplify the trophy collection into a clear, sequential guide, ensuring you can monitor your remaining objectives while progressing through the game. From Geyser Rock to Gol and up to Maia’s Citadel, there are numerous tasks awaiting you.

It would be more beneficial for you to collect all the Precursor Orbs along with the Power Cells as you go. These orbs are essential for purchasing additional Power Cells within each Hub Area, and they also contribute towards one of the game’s achievements.

Step 1: Geyser Rock In Geyser Rock you’ve got two achievements to earn. Along with collecting all four Power Cells, you’ll also need to make it to the end of Geyser Rock without using more than 12 Jumps. Doing both of these tasks will earn you the trophies “Training Isle” and “Daxterous Performance.” The trick to Daxterous Performance is to use Jak’s Uppercut instead of jumping whenever possible (See the dedicated section later on for full details.) Training Isle/Daxterous Performance
Step 2: Forbidden Jungle There’s two tasks in Forbidden Jungle, and we’re coming here before Sentinel Beach so we can turn on the Blue Eco Vents and save ourselves an extra trip later. You’ll need to collect all of the Power Cells and also run from the door of the temple to the top of the temple (Where a Power Cell is) without running out of Blue Eco. You can do this by filling up from the vent near the door, running through the door, and platforming up the temple as fast as possible, grabbing more blue eco from crates you break along the way. You should also redirect the Eco Beam back to the Village while you’re here to claim a Power Cell from the Mayor later. Precursor Forest/Jak be Nimble
Step 3: Sentinel Beach An easy one here, you just need to gather all the Power Cells available in Sentinel Beach. If the Gull Chase is giving you trouble, you can shoot it with the cannon (accessible using the Blue Eco Launchpads) to kill it as an alternative way of getting the Power Cell it swallowed. You’ll need to use the cannon to break open metal crates on the beach and on the path up to the cannon if you want to get every Precursor Orb here. There’s Sand in My Cell
Step 4: Misty Island Misty Island is a dangerous place, but collecting all the Power Cells here is best done early, and you’ll have unlocked the boat to reach the island while gathering Power Cells in the Forbidden Jungle. You’ll need to use the cannon above the arena to break open some metal crates to get all the Precursor Orbs here. You should also capture the Sculptor’s Muse, which is running around near the start of the area, so you can return it when you go back to the Village. Lurking Around
Step 5: Sandover Village Sandover Village is nice and easy to clean out once you’ve completed steps 2-4, so hand over the Muse, collect the reward from the Mayor, herd the Yacows into their Pen for the Farmer (if you need them to move faster you can use Jak’s spin to make them run away from you), and trade in your hard-earned Precursor Orbs with the Mayor, your Uncle, and the Oracle. With that done, make sure you’ve found the seven Scout Flies in the Village, all of which are in fairly easy-to-spot places, and you’ll have all the Power Cells from the first section of the game. Jak for Mayor
Step 6: Fire Canyon Now it’s time to ride through Fire Canyon. You might need to drive the route a few times to track down all the Power Cells and Scout Flies, but nothing is particularly well hidden in this area. Mind the temperature, though, or the Zoomer might overheat and explode. Nice Driving, Jak
Step 7: Precursor Basin Precursor Basin is another Zoomer area, so it’s best to take it on while you’re still warmed up from Fire Canyon. Gather all the Power Cells here, but then you have one more challenge. You’ll need to set a time of 40.00 or better in the Gorge time trial challenge. You’ll need to beat this challenge anyway to earn a reward from the Gambler in Rock Village, so run through it until you get a fast enough time to earn the trophy. Zoomer Park/Let’s See Samos Do Better
Step 8: Lost Precursor City For this next section, you’ll need to brave the precarious floating platforms (and the ever-terrifying Lurker Shark) to reach the Lost Precursor City you can see rising from the water near Rock Village. You’ll have to pay the Warrior 90 Power Cells to reposition the Pontoons so you can jump over there. Gather all the Power Cells and Precursor Orbs, and while you’re at it make sure you hit all the Green Eco Crates in the sliding section to earn a second trophy in this aquatic adventure. Undersea Adventure/Eco Slipping
Step 9: Boggy Swamp The Boggy Swamp is home to the first Flutflut riding section, so it’s a good thing we rescued the Flutflut egg back on Sentinel Beach, eh? Once you’re there, gather all the Power Cells. (This includes the difficult Yellow Eco Fireball challenge with Boggy Billy, so you’ll need to aim quickly and keep your head in the game.) Power Swamped
Step 10: Rock Village Now that you’ve been everywhere else in this section, you can hand over your Precursor Orbs to the Gambler, the Geologist, and the Oracle. This is also the perfect time to track down the seven Scout Flies in the Village and earn one last Power Cell. You should also take some time to smash 15 barrels in the Village for an extra Trophy. Village Rockstar/Those Were Our Supplies, Jak!
Step 11: Mountain Pass Another fun but tricky section, you’ll need to take out Klaww and then race through the Mountain Pass on the Zoomer to earn all the Power Cells here. You’ll want to clear the route once without collecting all the Scout Flies or grabbing the Hidden Power Cell, then activate the Warp Gate in the Red Sage’s hut. This will be important later. Once you’ve activated the Warp Gate, head back to Rock Village and keep driving through the Mountain Pass until you’ve gathered all 7 Scout Flies and also grabbed the hidden Power Cell. Just Passing Through
Step 12: Snowy Mountain Out of the frying pan, into the Freezer. You’ll want to head for the Snowy Mountain as soon as possible after reaching Volcanic Crater. Unfortunately, you have to collect two Power Cells after activating the Red Sage’s Warp Gate before you can use the Gondola to get here, which is why we suggested leaving two uncollected in the Mountain Pass until you’ve activated the Warp Gate. Once you’re in the Snowy Mountain, you’ll be able to gather more Power Cells and Precursor Orbs, while also activating the Yellow Eco Switch to activate vents in other areas. This is why we recommend clearing Snowy Mountain first. Cold and Collected
Step 13: Spider Cave Next on the list is the cave of creepy crawlies also accessible from Volcanic Crater. You’ll be glad you activated the Yellow Eco Switch once you arrive, since those vents will help you earn some of the Power Cells in this area that would be otherwise impossible to reach. Creepy Crawling Power Cells
Step 14: Volcanic Crater Before setting off for the Lava Tube, take one last walk around Volcanic Crater to buy Power Cells from Gordy, Willard, and the Oracle. While you’re at it, track down the seven Scout Flies and the extra Power Cell hidden on a ledge above the entrance to Spider Cave. To get this Power Cell you’ll need to go into the cave, charge up with Yellow Eco, then run back and shoot the steel crate on the ledge with a fireball to free the Power Cell. Great Cavern Power
Step 15: Lava Tube One last Zoomer Section stands between you and the endgame, and it’s another scorching hot track with cooling balloons to hit along the way. Unlike in Fire Canyon, the Cooling Balloons in Lava Tube are tied to a trophy, so you’ll need to hit 25 of them without dying to earn it. Once again, there are Seven Scout Flies to find in the Lava Tube, so repeat the course to track them down if needed. Hot Run/Quench the Heat
Step 16: Gol and Maia’s Citadel Welcome to the final level. You’ve got Power Cells to grab and the final boss to fight, but once you’ve got every Power Cell in the Citadel you can head up to fight Gol and Maia. If you’ve been collecting every Precursor Orb in each area, including this one, you’ll earn the Trophy for collecting all Precursor Orbs here too. Once Gol and Maia are defeated, stand atop the Citadel and look at Sandover Village in the distance to earn one final Trophy. Sagely Done/They’re Probably Gone, Right?/Look how Far We’ve Come, Jak

How to Get the Daxterous Performance Trophy in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy

The Daxterous Performance Trophy can be challenging if you aren’t accustomed to navigating without leaping. To overcome this hurdle, use Jak’s Uppercut move, which propels him skyward without actually jumping – execute it by crouching first and then pressing the punch key. Ensure a new game save for it to register properly, and employ regular jumps only when absolutely necessary. Upon activating the Blue Eco Platform situated atop Geyser Rock, you’ll receive the trophy.
