As a seasoned World of Warcraft player with over a decade under my belt, I can confidently say that the upcoming Patch 11.1 is shaping up to be a game-changer. The addition of new subzones like Gutterville and Kaja’Coast, especially Undermine, promises an exhilarating experience that will surely quench my thirst for adventure.
In addition to what’s already known as Undermine, the popular game, World of Warcraft, is set to introduce multiple subzones with Patch 11.1. Among these are a contaminated region in the Ringing Deeps called Gutterville and a new Goblin settlement in Zuldazar named Kaja’Coast. These sites will debut in World of Warcraft during Patch 11.1, anticipated for release around February. However, players may get an early sneak peek on the Public Test Realm shortly after the New Year.
Just now, World of Warcraft unveiled Update 11.1, titled “Undermined.” This significant overhaul transports players to Undermine – an area focused around the bustling subterranean Goblin metropolis, known for its skyscrapers, narrow lanes, and assorted odd inventions in various forms.
It appears that the latest update for World of Warcraft includes more than just Undermine as a new area in the game. Although it hasn’t been released on the Public Test Realm (PTR) yet, Wowhead has found several maps within the game files that suggest at least two additional subzones. The first and biggest is Gutterville, which is located in the southeastern corner of the Ringing Deeps. Although its specific purpose remains unknown, it seems likely that this region will have an entrance to Undermine, and judging by the maroon coloration at the bottom, part of it might be tainted with Black Blood, serving as Excavation Site 9, one of the new Delves introduced in WoW Patch 11.1.
New Locations in World of Warcraft Patch 11.1
- Undermine, the subterranean capital of the Goblins, and a completely new zone.
- Gutterville, a subzone located at the southeastern end of the Ringing Deeps.
- Kaja’Coast, a Goblin camp located on the southwestern coast of Zuldazar.
In the region of Zuldazar, players can discover Kaja’Coast, a recently developed area themed around Goblins situated on the southwestern coast of the island, neighboring the long-standing Azerite mining operation, Bilgewater Bonanza, overseen by Gallywix in Battle for Azeroth. This enigmatic site is believed to be where the drill-like transportation system spotted in World of Warcraft’s 11.1 announcement during the Warcraft Direct is situated, making it a strong candidate as another entry point into Undermine.
The self-discovered map of Undermine includes a central hub known as Slam Central Station, which appears to be the arrival point for players within the zone. This station is marked by five distinct terminals on the map. Since Gutterville and Kaja’Coast are likely two of these terminals, it suggests that there could be three additional locations in Azeroth undergoing a goblin-themed transformation in the upcoming update.
The scheduled release date for Patch 11.1 is still uncertain, with predictions leaning towards mid to late February. However, it’s worth noting that the Public Test Realm (PTR) for Undermined will go live in early January. Therefore, players should expect to explore the new World of Warcraft content within a few weeks from then.
