This is why, when Trunks traveled to the past to prevent the Androids from winning, his own future remained unchanged. The Z Fighters in his timeline remained deceased, and despite the Androids modifying their behavior in the altered past, they reverted back to being evil in Trunks’ world, leaving him to face them again on his own.

These universes house humans and Saiyans in common, however, the histories of their human and Saiyan populations are separate and dissimilar to that of Future Trunks’ universe compared to the one inhabited by Goku and the Z Fighters.

What truly leaves me spellbound is the discovery that Whis possesses no less than two distinct methods for time travel, each yielding unique outcomes.

The initial approach is called Whis’ Time Redo Strategy, enabling him to revert back up to three minutes in the past. Unlike Bulma’s time machine, the Time Redo Strategy doesn’t generate a new timeline; whatever changes are made in the past, it remains consistent. Instead, it functions like a rewind rather than teleporting to another moment in time, which prevents any duplicates of travelers from appearing in the past. In the anime series Dragon Ball Super and the Resurrection ‘F’ movie, Whis employed the Time Redo Strategy to prevent Frieza from destroying Earth.

These artifacts, central to the “Future” Trunks Saga in Dragon Ball Super, enable a Supreme Kai to traverse through time without leaving behind any destructive ripples. In episode 54, titled “He Who is of Saiyan Blood Trunks’s Resolve”, Gowasu momentarily elevated Zamasu to the rank of Supreme Kai so he could journey into the future with the help of a Time Ring.
