In “Persona 4 Golden,” Yukiko’s Castle serves as my initial foray into a true dungeon, a captivating labyrinth that, though only spanning seven floors, offers an abundance of experiences and insights about the game’s intricacies. As I delve deeper, I find myself acclimating to the combat system in a comfortable and gradual manner.
As you progress through the tower, the initial levels might not seem too difficult, but as you ascend, a formidable foe known as the Magical Magus will appear. This enemy is the toughest you’ll encounter randomly in the dungeon. Here are its weaknesses and strategies to defeat it effortlessly.
Magical Magus Weakness & Skills In Persona 4 Golden
Null | Strong | Weak |
---|---|---|
Fire | Wind | Light |
The Skilled Sorcerer possesses a number of abilities capable of inflicting significant harm on those caught off guard. Given that their powers primarily involve fire damage, it would be prudent to collect fire-resistant trinkets hidden in golden treasures scattered throughout Yukiko’s Castle. These trinkets can also prove beneficial during the final boss battle, making them valuable items to secure.
In your next turn, be prepared as the Magical Magus is likely to employ Agilao, a level two magic spell that deals significant damage and could potentially eliminate an unprotected party member. While Hysterical Slap inflicts a good amount of physical harm by striking twice, it’s Agilao that poses the greater danger. Since the protagonist is the only character who can utilize light skills at this early stage in the game, it would be wise for Chie and Yosuke to stand aside and focus on defense to avoid being defeated.
Early-Game Persona With A Light Skill In Persona 4 Golden
Among the early-game Personas, none surpasses Archangel, which inherently possesses the ‘Light’ skill. Notably, Archangel acquires the ‘Media’ skill at level 12, a skill that proves indispensable during boss fights on the final floor. This Persona is of level 11 and can be effortlessly combined with other Personas to enhance your combat abilities.
- Slime (Level 2)
- Forneus (Level 6)
In the game Persona 4 Golden, abilities labeled as light and dark skills are exclusive to instant-kill moves, implying that Hama will be an instant-kill attack exploiting the enemy’s vulnerability. This means it almost always connects, and when it does, the foe perishes immediately. Consequently, what could be one of the toughest adversaries in this dungeon becomes one of the simplest to conquer. Given its high level, these formidable opponents can be advantageous to farm, provided you have means to replenish your SP or if you’re comfortable engaging the boss fight with fewer resources than usual.
