AMD’s new generation of graphics cards, known as the Radeon RX 9000 series using RDNA 4 technology, have been introduced by the company. This was done during their press conference at CES 2025.
The two new cards announced on Monday were the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT and Radeon RX 9070.
Although the partners and their cards have been made public, details about their technical specifications, release dates, and prices remain undisclosed at this time. AMD has hinted that they will disclose further information regarding RDNA 4 and the upcoming cards later in the current quarter.
It’s been noted that these new graphics cards will become accessible within Q1 and come equipped with the advanced FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 (FSR 4). AMD has shared details about the cards, stating they are built using a 4nm process, incorporate second-generation AI accelerators, and third-generation ray tracing accelerators. Notably, FSR 4 is designed exclusively for RDNA 4 graphics cards, raising speculation that older models may not support this feature. However, it’s important to note that this hasn’t been definitively confirmed yet.
When launched, these new graphics cards from AMD will be offered not only by them, but also by several collaborating partners like Asrock, Gigabyte, Sapphire, ASUS, and others. Besides the RX 9070 XT and RX 9070, AMD is planning to introduce RX 9060 series graphics cards too. Further details about these cards will be shared at a later time.
