College Football 26 Leak Reveals HUGE Return!

Summary

  • EA Sports College Football 26 may feature the return of Mascot Mode, according to a leaked photo shoot.
  • The College Football 26 Deluxe Edition cover included players and coaches, building fan anticipation.

It’s been confirmed that the circulating photo from the EA Sports College Football 26 photoshoot is authentic, hinting at the potential return of Mascot Mode as a key game feature. These photos were taken a few weeks following the developers’ announcement that the next EA Sports College Football installment will be released this summer.

Following a ten-year break, EA Sports brought back their college football simulator with the release of College Football 25. This game showcased the likenesses, photos, and names of numerous NCAA Division I FBS athletes, such as cover stars Quinn Ewers, Travis Hunter, and Donovan Edwards. The comeback of EA Sports’ football franchise was warmly welcomed by both veteran and new fans. Despite College Football 25 lacking some traditional elements, this didn’t hinder its sales. In fact, it was the second-highest selling game in 2024 across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, with only Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 outselling it.

It has been verified that the upcoming game, College Football 26, is currently being worked on. The main characters for this new edition have been confirmed through various social media posts. Initially shared by Chris Vannini from The Athletic, a photograph of EA Sports College Football 26 Deluxe Edition surfaced online after a photo session at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on March 12. The cover showcases athletes such as Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, Penn State running back Nick Singleton, and former Florida quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow. Notably, head coaches were also present during the photo shoot, including Kirby Smart from Georgia, Ryan Day from Ohio State, James Franklin from Penn State, and Lane Kiffin from Ole Miss.

EA Sports College Football 26 Cover Leak May Tease Mascot Mode’s Return

As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but get excited about the prospect of Mascot Mode making a comeback in EA Sports’ upcoming simulator. With Georgia’s Hairy Dawg and Tennessee’s Smokey joining the action, it feels like a dream come true for fans like me. Vannini hinted that the Deluxe Edition cover might not be the final one, suggesting that we could see more covers before the game hits shelves this summer.

The recently published cover images for the game emerged about a few weeks following EA Sports executive Daryl Holt’s comments regarding College Football 26. Although Holt did not reveal much information, he mentioned that College Football 26 might encounter challenges due to the success of CFB 25 and emphasized that fan input would be taken into account.

For those who haven’t played EA Sports College Football 25 yet, you can purchase it on the PlayStation Store for $14 until March 26. With College Football 26 on the horizon, we’ll have to wait and see which exciting new features will be included in the next installment.
