During the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay, the mansion’s exterior takes on a festive blend of Halloween and Christmas motifs. Jack-o’-lanterns and spooky holiday ornaments embellish every nook, while Jack Skellington’s coffin sleigh sits dramatically atop the roof. The whimsical “Christmas Equation” stretches from the rooftop to the ground, and the famous Halloween Town countdown clock ticks down, displaying the number of days remaining until Christmas. Upon entry, visitors are greeted by the eerie foyer, which is adorned with skull wreaths and haunting decorations. As the Ghost Host commences his poetic narration, he sets the stage for the ensuing adventure.

In previous years, characters like Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” have turned the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland Resort into a spooktacular holiday experience in late summer. However, Disneyland has announced that in 2025, this seasonal overlay will take place from November 14, 2025, to January 7, 2026, ensuring the original ride continues to run during Halloween. From November 1 onwards, when visitors enter the foyer, they’ll find it redecorated with skull wreaths and festive holiday decorations.
