Apart from Poppy’s mission and a brief instance towards the end of the main storyline, dragons are rarely spotted in Hogwarts Legacy.

On Reddit, a user named Thin-Coyote-551 posted pictures of a dragon swooping down from the sky to snatch a Dugbog they were battling. The post included multiple screenshots, showing a gray, purple-eyed dragon flying close to the ground and tossing the captured Dogbog into the air. Many people responding to the post mentioned that despite completing the game and spending numerous hours exploring Hogwarts Legacy’s open world, they haven’t randomly encountered a dragon while wandering through the various hamlets and locations around the castle.

In a truly exciting turn of events, numerous enthusiasts of the game believe that the experience would be even more extraordinary if players could engage in battles against the elusive dragons within Hogwarts Legacy. A Redditor hinted at such an encounter taking place near Keenbridge, located towards the southern part of Hogwarts Valley. Interestingly, these dragons may appear almost anywhere on the map outside the castle, Hogsmeade, or Hogwarts Legacy’s Forbidden Forest. The reason behind their appearance remains a mystery, but some lighthearted guesses suggest it could be due to the players’ dragon-skin attire.
