Following the debut of Patch 7.15, which added numerous side missions in the Dawntrail expansion, such as the resumption of the Hildibrand series and a new Custom Delivery client, the Free Login Campaign made its comeback. Before this campaign’s arrival, on New Year’s Day, producer and director Naoki Yoshida of Final Fantasy 14 shared an annual message with the players. In his message, Yoshida revealed that Patches 7.2 and 7.3 would be rolled out in 2025, along with minor content updates. Additionally, Yoshida subtly hinted at where the main story of Dawntrail might be heading, sparking discussions among players about potential implications for their beloved characters.

For a brief period, Square Enix is offering a chance for players who haven’t visited Eorzea in a while to return at no cost. The Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy 14 began on Thursday, January 9 at 3:00 AM Eastern and will continue until Thursday, February 6, at 9:59 AM Eastern. This offer allows players to enjoy up to four days of free gameplay. To qualify for this promotion, you must have previously purchased and registered Final Fantasy 14 with a Square Enix account that has been inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign. However, if your account has been suspended or canceled due to violating the game’s terms of service, you are not eligible for this Free Login Campaign.

Final Fantasy 14 Launches Free Login Campaign (January to February 2025)

Square Enix urges Final Fantasy 14 players to verify their account information and eligibility status through the Mog Station. During the ongoing Free Login Campaign, players can participate in the annual Heavensturn event, earning a minion as a reward, until January 16. Additionally, on January 21, Final Fantasy 14 will unveil Patch 7.16, wrapping up the Dawntrail Role Quest side series.
