In simpler terms, “World of Warcraft” has unveiled the Coward’s Azure Target, a new item for character customization through transmogrification, which is up for grabs as a Twitch Drop to honor the return of Plunderstorm. By tuning in to any “World of Warcraft” streamer on Twitch between January 14 and February 4 for a total of four hours, players can collect this back transmog item as part of their loot from the event.
In early 2024, a battle royale game mode called “Plunderstorm” was introduced in World of Warcraft. A year later, it’s making a return to World of Warcraft for approximately a month starting January 14. This event includes both old and new prizes obtainable through the Plunderstore.
For fans of World of Warcraft, there’s an opportunity to acquire an additional in-game item without having to engage with Plunderstorm directly. The Coward’s Azure Target is a new back transmog that can be obtained as a Twitch Drop during the first three weeks of Plunderstorm. From January 14 to February 4, viewers who watch a total of four hours of any World of Warcraft streamers on Twitch can claim this item for free – regardless if the streamers are playing Plunderstorm or not.
How to Get World of Warcraft Plunderstorm Twitch Drop
- Fans must first connect their Battle.net and Twitch accounts via the Connections page on Twitch.
- From January 14, 10 AM PST, through February 4, 10 AM PST,, watch four hours of any Twitch streamer in the World of Warcraft category to earn the Coward’s Azure Target back transmog.
- Claim the drop from the Twitch inventory page.
- The Coward’s Azure Target should be automatically added to the Warband transmog Collections pane.
In the game, there’s a fresh transmogrification (transmog) called “The Coward’s Azure Target,” which hasn’t been available before. This new look is essentially a shade of blue for the previously given reward, “Coward’s Violet Target,” that enthusiasts received from completing their World of Warcraft Traveler’s Log on the Trading Post in August 2024. Despite players not being thrilled with it as a bonus from the Trading Post, many won’t pass up the opportunity to get free items with Twitch Drops.
Fortunately, those uninterested in the current Twitch Drop won’t miss out, as there are numerous other collectibles coming up in World of Warcraft soon. Alongside the rewards offered during Plunderstorm, Patch 11.1 is about to drop, and with it, the first significant update for World of Warcraft: The War Within. This update introduces campsites that can be personalized on the character selection screen, a feature players have been eagerly anticipating. It’s likely that another Twitch Drop will be released to commemorate Patch 11.1, so fans should stay tuned to discover what additional free items they might gather for their adventure in Undermine.
