At approximately £50 (current price), the ALOGIC Apex Bluetooth Mouse fits the bill perfectly – even surpassing some competitors due to its user-friendly design.

This mouse is surprisingly spacious compared to typical mouse sizes, yet it manages to slide comfortably beneath my large hand due to its slightly unusual shape. At 93 grams, it has a satisfying weight that isn’t too heavy or light. I’ve been using the Logitech G309 Lightspeed mouse for six months now, but when I connected the Apex for the first time, I found myself reluctant to part with it on my desk so quickly.

If you’re the kind of person who juggles devices (like I used to), you’ll appreciate that you can pair it with two different gadgets simultaneously via Bluetooth, though I haven’t found a need for that feature yet. One thing to note is that you can’t use it when connected via USB-C; the cable is only for charging. But once it’s fully charged, you’re looking at an astounding 100 hours of gameplay before needing another charge, which is mind-blowing! After dealing with mice that seemed to die on me constantly, this feature is a breath of fresh air.

With the Apex Control app, you can customize the pulsing speed and brightness to your preference. Furthermore, this mouse lets you choose from four different dpi presets, ranging from 400 to an impressive 6400 dpi. This high speed is especially effective when used with its Bluetooth connectivity.

The ALOGIC Apex software might be minimalistic, but it performs effectively as required. Its simplicity aligns well with the no-nonsense design of the Apex, while maintaining excellent construction and functionality. To put it simply, the ALOGIC Apex is an exceptional mouse for gaming or everyday use. It’s one of the most comfortable mice I’ve tried, and its outstanding battery life and diverse DPI options are notable advantages.
