Before the launch of “Star Wars Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles”, Aspyr has unveiled that Jar Jar Binks will be a playable character within the game. In the original version, “Jedi Power Battles” had a wide range of playable characters. Nevertheless, the clumsy Gungan is quite an unexpected inclusion for fans in this updated edition.
Originally launched in 2000, “Jedi Power Battles” showcased famous characters and settings from the era of “Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace”. In an effort to capitalize on the nostalgia of the original, Aspyr has unveiled plans for a revamped version of “Jedi Power Battles”, offering fresh content for enthusiasts. Amongst the new features are options to change lightsaber colors and implement cheat code support. Additionally, players will have the chance to command some novel characters, with Jar Jar Binks being the latest character revealed.
Aspyr recently announced a new trailer for the game Jedi Power Battles, showcasing gameplay featuring Jar Jar Binks. The video displays the well-known Gungan character in combat against various foes. Despite some enthusiasts dreaming that he might wield a red lightsaber and embody the Darth Jar Jar persona from fan speculation, he’s depicted brandishing a large staff in the game instead. Furthermore, he delivers a variety of comical voice lines as expected for his clumsy persona. Players will be able to control Jar Jar Binks when Jedi Power Battles launches on January 23, although pre-orders for the game are currently available.
