I had the pleasure of witnessing the announcement back in 2016 that Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid would be brought to life as an anime. Fast forward to January 2017, and I found myself captivated by the first season’s debut. Masterfully directed by Yasuhiro Takemoto at Kyoto Animation, it was Yuka Yamada who skillfully crafted the series composition, while Miku Kadowaki breathed life into the characters with her designs. Masumi Itō’s enchanting music graced the first season.

Excitedly, I’ve got some fantastic news to share with fellow Dragon Maid enthusiasts like myself! After a long wait due to the unfortunate incident at Kyoto Animation studio, we finally have confirmation that Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is returning for a second season!

In this new adventure, there’s one significant change to the team behind the scenes. Tatsuya Ishihara steps in as the new director, replacing Yasuhiro Takemoto. The second season aired from July to September 2021, and it’s been an absolute joy to revisit the magical world of Kobayashi and her dragon friends once more!
