Summary

  • The difficulty of clearing POIs in 7 Days To Die varies, with harder locations offering better loot.
  • Locations like Vanity Tower, Higashi Pharmaceutical, and U.S. Army Post #7 are some of the toughest to clear.
  • Places like Two-Bit Tower and Red Mesa Compound offer challenges and good loot, making them worth a visit.

In the game known as “7 Days To Die“, everything seems to be geared towards eliminating the player. From zombies, dangerous wildlife, hidden traps, and other hazards, surviving is no walk in the park. As you traverse any particular map, you’ll encounter numerous Points of Interest (POIs). These can range greatly in size and level of challenge.

As a player nears a Point of Interest (POI), the name of the building appears on the screen’s right side. Beneath this label, you’ll find a collection of skulls. The greater the number of skulls, the higher the challenge to conquer that location. Generally speaking, the more challenging a POI, the richer the rewards are in 7 Days To Die. This list will cover the most formidable POIs to clear.

8. Vanity Tower

Filled From Top To Bottom With The Undead

  • Loot Room Location: On The Floor With The Disco Lights, Second Floor From The Top

The Imposing Vanity Tower stands as a formidable challenge for solo players. Completing this in-game location within a single day is quite tough for an individual player. Similar to the other locations on this list, the Vanity Tower is a late-game Point of Interest, meaning it’s best to approach it only when well-equipped with sufficient ammunition, weapons, armor, and medical supplies to tackle it effectively.

Even under such conditions, Vanity Tower remains no trivial matter. It’s littered with unstable floors that give way easily, hordes of zombies lurk in every nook and cranny, and much more to contend with.

7. Higashi Pharmaceutical

A Giant Clue As To What Went Wrong

  • Loot Room Location: On The Top Floor Behind A Vault Door

Visit Higashi Pharmaceutical if you’re keen on exploring the rich lore of the game 7 Days to Die. The developers here are masters at storytelling without speaking a word, and this Point of Interest offers a chilling glimpse into the dark experiments that took place within these walls. These tests have significantly shaped the state of the game’s world.

As a dedicated gamer, I can’t help but marvel at this towering edifice that’s been my latest challenge. It takes quite a few in-game days to fully explore, and every floor seems to be jam-packed with the deadliest foes the game has to offer. From Wights to Mutants, and everything in between, I find myself constantly battling relentless hordes as I delve deeper into this location. It’s a thrilling, heart-pounding experience that keeps me coming back for more!

6. Dr. Karen Higashi Residence

A House With Some Dark Secrets

  • Loot Room Location: In The Main Control Room In The Underground Bunker

Initially, Dr. Karen Higashi’s Residence appears to be a cozy, contemporary dwelling with a welcoming vibe. Yet, it conceals a sinister secret buried deep beneath. Beneath the facade of this residence lies an expansive bunker that served as the site for various experiments related to a virus. If players have previously explored Higashi Pharmaceutical (as mentioned earlier), they will likely have a sense of what awaits them below this seemingly ordinary home.

Though smaller than several other locations on this list, it houses numerous challenging zombies within a limited area, making it extremely perilous and hard to conquer. Due to its extensive underground structure, one can quickly find themselves trapped and overwhelmed by enemies, as there are only a few exit paths available for players to utilize.

5. U.S. Army Post #7

A Place Teaming With The Undead

  • Loot Room Location: In The Basement, Next To A Vault Door

Post #7 in the U.S. Army is often considered the hardest outpost to conquer in 7 Days To Die. The tents surrounding the main structure are inhabited by quite a few unwelcoming residents. However, it’s the basement that poses the greatest threat. Upon entering, hordes of enemies will quickly become active. Although the main building isn’t large, it houses an overwhelming number of Military Zombies, Police officers, Mutants, and more. Players might consider reducing their difficulty level before attempting to take control of this place.

Players daring enough to tackle this Point of Interest should come prepared with an ample supply of bullets and healing items, as this place is undeniably tough. However, the payoff is significant. Apart from its loot room, it’s packed with consoles, chairs, and other breakable objects that players can dismantle with a wrench for valuable resources in abundance.

4. Two-Bit Tower

Its Looks Are Deceiving

  • Loot Room Location: Behind Double Metal Doors On The Roof

The dilapidated Two-Bit Tower seems almost abandoned. Many of its windows are shattered, sections of the facade have crumbled, and it appears rather uninviting. Despite its towering height, it doesn’t seem overly formidable from the outside. However, newcomers might underestimate its difficulty. This location can quickly become a deadly trap if you find yourself surrounded by a horde of zombies while attempting to clear it.

Regrettably, its primary treasure room doesn’t match up to many other options on this list. However, if you’re seeking a challenging experience and don’t mind missing out on significant loot, Two-Bit Tower could be an intriguing destination worth checking out.

3. Red Mesa Compound

A Highly Restricted Area

  • Loot Room Location: Inside The Above Ground Building On The Left Side Of The Compound

This spot teems with explosives, traps, and hordes of the undead – it’s definitely not for those just starting out. Upon nearing this location, players will find a large sign warning ‘Keep Out: Restricted Area’. This facility is where weapons are developed and stored, making it one of the game’s most perilous areas to conquer.

As I navigate through the depths of the Red Mesa Compound, I can’t help but feel a chill down my spine. This labyrinth of underground tunnels is a maze, and I often find myself lost in its twisting corridors. But the real danger doesn’t come from getting lost; it comes from the relentless wave of enemies lurking around every turn.

However, the allure of the loot hidden within this POI is undeniable. Clearing this place could mean a significant boost to my gear, but the sheer number of foes that call this compound home makes it a veritable hellhole. I can’t help but wonder if the rewards are worth the risk…

2. Dishong Tower

An Unwelcome Business Block

  • Loot Room Location: In The Living Room Of The Penthouse Suite

Before the incident, Dishong Tower would’ve been an appealing destination. It was bustling with businesses and offered facilities such as a fitness center, a bar, a restaurant, and more. Regrettably, since the outbreak, it has experienced some perilous transformations. The previous inhabitants have become less than desirable visitors. To clear this place, one must come prepared with adequate weaponry.

As a gamer navigating this labyrinthine building, you’ve got to be adept at finding your way around, or else the twisting corridors could lead you in circles and keep you from reaching that precious loot room up high.

1. Minotaur Theater

A Not-So-Welcoming Theater

  • Loot Room Location: On The Main Stage Inside The Theater

The Minotaur Theater could possibly hold the highest density of zombies in any given area. Surprisingly compact, this venue seems to house an overwhelming number of adversaries. Although it’s difficult to completely clear out the entire building, the main theater and stage are where a majority of these enemies tend to congregate.

Players often choose to build a tower of blocks reaching up to the ceiling for smoother navigation when hordes of undead foes are hot on their heels. From above, they find it simpler to sweep through this area and clear it out more effectively.
