The creative director of Helldivers 2 has disclosed the extent of Arrowhead Game Studios’ participation in the production of the forthcoming film.
Pilestedt emphasized that Arrowhead Studios specialize in game development rather than filmmaking, implying they may not fully grasp the intricacies of movie production. Consequently, he suggested that they should not be the ultimate decision-makers regarding the upcoming Helldivers film’s production.
For anyone curious about the Helldivers film, Sony made the announcement during CES 2025. At the same event, they also revealed other projects in the pipeline, including a live-action movie for Horizon Zero Dawn and an anime adaption of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, which is the online multiplayer aspect from Sucker Punch’s 2020 action-adventure game.
