Baldur’s Gate 3 Devs Have Moved Their ‘Full Attention’ to the Next Game

Baldur’s Gate 3 developers Larian Studios have shifted the team’s entire focus to their next game.

When conversing with Video Gamer, developers of Baldur’s Gate 3 have shared that Swen and his team are entirely dedicated to creating their upcoming game. Additionally, it appears that the development studio is going into an indefinite period of silence regarding media updates.

Besides this, Swen Vincke, Larian’s CEO, shared insights on their studio’s adventure in a recent post on X. He expressed that there are still many exciting things to look forward to from them in the future. In conjunction with sharing the “Larian Studios: From Bankruptcy To Baldur’s Gate 3” YouTube video, Vincke noted that it has been an amazing journey thus far, but the tale is yet to be completed – so keep an eye out for updates.

In March 2024, the developers of Baldur’s Gate 3 announced they wouldn’t be focusing on DLC or a sequel for the series but instead on something “new.” Since then, it has been disclosed that Larian Studios is actively engaged in developing two new projects while still offering support for the 2023 Game of the Year.

If you’re curious about future installments of Baldur’s Gate, it’s worth noting that Hasbro has expressed an intention to develop it further. Currently, they are seeking suitable collaborators to bring the next chapter of this franchise to life. Additionally, actors from previous Baldur’s Gate games have shown interest in participating in a new Dungeons & Dragons project, be it a game or a movie.
