As stated by one of the creators of the series, Craig Mazin, the second season of “The Last of Us” will not directly follow the storyline of the game’s sequel but instead will span across three seasons to portray its sorrowful and vengeful narrative. Continuing a pattern set in the last season, HBO appears to be following this trend by featuring Pedro Pascal’s character Joel Miller in a therapy session with Catherine O’Hara’s unspecified character, a scene not present in the games. This heartwarming detail from “The Last of Us” echoed their first kiss, but the HBO trailer drew particular focus to what adorned Dina’s wrist – a hamsa bracelet with silver details. In the game, this good luck charm, common in the Middle East, is worn by Dina as she dances with Ellie. When Ellie departs for Seattle to pursue Abby, Dina gifts Ellie the bracelet, which she continues to wear throughout the rest of the game.

In the game, there’s an intriguing plot element that truly shines in the series, with fans praising HBO for its accurate portrayal. Many viewers have remarked that they “nailed it” and are “happy to see a faithful recreation of Dina’s bracelet.” The trailer didn’t just highlight Dina’s bracelet; it also gave us a sneak peek at a weapon resembling a bladed sickle, likely belonging to one of the Seraphites.
