The game Hearthstone has now unveiled specific information about the Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set, including its scheduled release on January 21st. This mini-set consists of 49 new cards, categorized as class cards, multi-faction StarCraft cards, and a single Legendary card that doesn’t belong to any specific faction. This is the largest mini-set ever released in Hearthstone history.

At the Warcraft Direct on November 13, 2024, Hearthstone unveiled Heroes of StarCraft, a Mini-Set for The Great Dark Beyond expansion. This expansion also marks a fusion between Hearthstone and StarCraft, Blizzard’s well-known but underutilized sci-fi RTS series. Initially, only preliminary details were shared during the unveiling; further information will be disclosed after the new year.

In exactly two months’ time, Hearthstone unveiled its micro expansion titled Heroes of StarCraft. This set comprises 49 fresh cards, an increase of 11 compared to standard Mini-Sets. Each class in Hearthstone receives three cards, while each of the three factions from StarCraft is represented by five cards that can be utilized by their corresponding classes, one of which is a Legendary card. Additionally, there’s a single neutral Legendary card, Grunty, completing the Mini-Set. Hearthstone has already showcased some of these cards, with further reveals scheduled throughout the week preceding the Mini-Set’s launch.

* For Zerg classes (Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Hunter, Warlock), the cards disclosed feature mass summoning of Zerglings followed by Hydralisk for damage based on swarm size.
* In contrast, Protoss cards for Druid, Mage, Priest, and Rogue are centered around manipulating mana temporarily or permanently before deploying costly units like the Carrier.

The larger scale of Heroes of StarCraft comes at a higher cost compared to other mini-sets. Alternatively, the all-Golden version is priced at $80 or 12,000 gold instead of the usual $70 and 10,000 gold. However, fans have the option to purchase only the Protoss, Terran, or Zerg cards from the mini-set for just $10 or 1200 gold.
