In a fresh update, Blizzard Entertainment is offering two unique in-game items to fans who commit to six months of World of Warcraft subscription at once. For contemporary WoW players, there’s the Timbered Sky Snake, and for Classic enthusiasts, it’s the Timbered Air Snakelet pet. Designed with the 2025 Zodiac Sign in mind, these items will be granted to players who purchase bulk WoW subscriptions or are already subscribed, by no later than January 31.

Starting from 2018, fans of World of Warcraft have been given special in-game bonuses if they subscribe for six months or longer at a stretch. These rewards usually get refreshed in January and July. Often, these incentives are themed based on the lunar Zodiac signs for each year. For example, the Auspicious Arborwyrm for 2024, representing the Year of the Wood Dragon in the World of Warcraft.

For 2025, Blizzard Entertainment has unveiled a fresh six-month subscription deal for World of Warcraft. The Timbered Sky Snake, a flying mount suitable for retail WoW, symbolizes the Year of the Wood Snake, while the Timbered Air Snakelet, a corresponding pet for players in Cataclysm Classic, is also available. Fans can acquire these items by subscribing to a six-month or longer World of Warcraft subscription, but they can also be purchased separately from the in-game store for $25 (mount) and $10 (pet). The Timbered Air Snakelet, the matching pet for contemporary WoW, is also available on the Battle.net shop for $10, though it’s not part of the subscription offer itself.

Alongside the Timbered Sky Snake and Timbered Air Snakelet, those who choose a yearly renewal for their World of Warcraft subscription receive additional perks such as the Startouched Furline, Gigantic Grrloc, and Charming Courier mounts in contemporary WoW, and the Lava Drake mount and Swoopy pet in Classic. Moreover, fans will be granted the six-month subscription offer for July, making this a highly attractive deal for avid mount collectors.

As outlined in the 2025 plan for World of Warcraft, the retail version will be advancing through two significant updates beginning with Patch 11.1 within the next few months, and there’s a possibility that player housing could be introduced before the year ends. In terms of Classic WoW, the progression servers are moving towards Mists of Pandaria, and new anniversary realms will traverse from vanilla content all the way to The Burning Crusade expansion.
