A notable enhancement has been made to a particular creature, and that’s the ghost. The ghost from 2014 was troublesome enough thanks to its ethereal form, but the latest update has significantly increased the potency of its attacks. These attacks can potentially wipe out an unguarded group with a single strike.

An alternative approach is offering various renditions of well-known monsters tailored to distinct level groups. For instance, the Gravecaller caters to lich encounters, Haunting Revenant suits revenants (ghostly structures), and Death Knight Aspirant is for different difficulty levels in Dungeon Masters’ games. Essentially, this approach allows for both weaker and stronger versions of these monsters to be utilized.

In the latest edition, some old acquaintances make a comeback, with the Flaming Skeleton reappearing, much like it did in the 4e version. As its moniker implies, this fiery undead has the knack for exploding and causing havoc among careless groups.

The upcoming 2024 edition of the Dungeons & Dragons Players Handbook significantly enhances many current character options, making classes and races even stronger compared to their 2014 versions.
