For the very first time, Nikola “NiKo” Kovač took part in an official match with Team Falcons, and the organization is delighted with the initial outcome of this revamped CS2 squad. Although they’ve received significant financial support, Team Falcons has found it challenging to ascend to the pinnacle of the Counter-Strike scene over the past few years. However, today’s performance suggests a positive shift in that direction.

NiKo and Former Heroic Trio Shine against ENCE at BLAST Bounty
In the BLAST tournament’s reward system, underdog team ENCE decided to face off against the Falcons. With Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander, a four-time Major champion, leading the way, ENCE aimed to capitalize on the relatively little time the Falcons had spent practicing as a unit. ENCE placed their bet on a map choice of Train, hoping that the Falcons would be less familiar with the latest CS:2 map.
The train match was an enjoyable spectacle, featuring a chaotic yet amusing game of Counter-Strike on an unfamiliar map. However, NiKo and the entire Falcons team emerged victorious against ENCE. ENCE struggled in rounds where they held a numerical advantage, and failed to maintain a 12-9 lead towards the end. It wasn’t NiKo who shone for Falcons, but René “TeSeS” Madsen from Heroic, who delivered four multi-kill rounds during the final six rounds of regulation and overtime. In the end, Falcons managed to secure four consecutive rounds in overtime to win Train, 16-12.

In the game, the match shifted to Dust2, a map that has traditionally favored several of Falcon’s individual players. From the get-go, Falcons played powerfully, securing five consecutive T-side rounds. ENCE, however, refused to back down and eventually managed to recover. During the second half, NiKo stood out for Falcons as a CT-side player, but ENCE still forced an overtime on this map. In the nail-biting OT, TeSeS once again proved clutch for Falcons, clinching a narrow victory for them in the series.
